I am new to DnD and I made a Tabaxi Ranger. I am joining an ongoing game so the DM did a one-shot to introduce me as a level 1 and now I'm advanced to a 10 to join the original storyline. Anyway, the DM is also new and we were trying to figure out if the level 5 attack bonus was just for my character to attack twice or if the second attack was to allow for both myself and my pet to be able to attack? Also, if it is the former, when I do attack with my pet on my turn, do they attack twice?

Well, not sure if you're ever going to see this since almost a month has passed since you asked, but what edition are you playing? If 5e like I'm assuming, do you have a PHB Ranger or an updated (UA) one?
