Saw this on another site, but figured I'd share. As a holiday gift the GM gives each of his players a 'get out of jail free' card good for one auto crit moment on any attack, skill challenge, etc.

A good question. Would be up to the DM using them I suppose, but I see no reason they couldnt be used after. I mean its a temporary break from the rules, its all in good spirits not just some reason to break the game. Set a time limit on when they can use them of course so they're not saving them up for a boss fight six months from now ...or whatever. |

I wonder if something like this exists in-game as an alternative reward. Like a single-use blessing from a deity or a lucky coin. |
