I've heard a ton of cool things about Traveler, and would be interested n trying it if rules ownership is not a prerequisite.

If somebody create a Traveller or 13th Age game, I would join after September. Completely swamped now at work.

You can find the rules for Traveller here. Also Classic Traveller is very old now, and they are probably public domain.

I doubt they're older than Steamboat Willie, so probably not strictly public domain.

Abandonware, though, they might be. Also subject to the funny copyrighting rules that enabled OSRIC and the rest of the OSR.

I was under the impression it only protects some rights, after 20 years anyone can copy it as long as it does not reference the source material or use the registered name.
