In any game, there's always some thing that's cheesy or overused by other people and sources. Can anyone put down some cliches to avoid? I personally need help in finding out what to avoid.

Straight up revenge story-lines. Stories beginning where the main character has amnesia. "It was all a dream" for endings. Those are the big three that annoy the living hell outta me.

You're showing your age, Old Man. For those who don't know, the Stormwind Fallacy was coined about 8 years ago by Tempest_Stormwind in a rare moment of hubris. Boiled down to its essentials, it simply means that "rollplaying" and roleplaying aren't mutually exclusive.
