If there are any community members who have Minecraft on PS3 and would be willing to work with me on an almost exact (it would be impossible to get every detail correct) world of Mordor please post and let me know. I started playing the game a few days ago on my PS3 so I could learn it and play with my kids in their worlds and then quickly became addicted. Why in the world I would choose something of such a large scale I'm not sure and I know it could possibly take years to complete by myself so I would like to send out to people who might like to help an invitation. Here is a photo of the outline of Mt. Doom I have started on using Obsidian as the building blocks of the mountain. Yes, I know there is an existing village in the middle. If Sauron could build a mountain, wouldn't he destroy a village to do so? Starting it off right. What Say You!?

I think your project would be better suited for PC, not sure how big the minecraft community is on PS3 for such a big project unless your looking to do most of it by yourself (I don't think you want that, looking at how much time that has been put into the Enterprise project), on that note I would love to follow your progress whatever system you decide to play on in case you decide to continue. I'm afraid I cant join you myself since minecraft doesn't really appeal to me. |

Just finished the base for Mt. Doom and man I'm glad my Daughter pointed out the potion of swiftness or I would still be only halfway through. It hit me as I was blocking the village to just erect a "roof" over the whole thing so the village will remain intact, just buried inside the volcano. Man this is going to take a while. |

Lord of the rings geek. Own minecraft ps3 version. Have tons of spare time. Technically I could help. But I'm not so sure if that's something that can be accomplished. How detailed are we talking here? Because at some point the game can't handle certain things. |

As of right now I cant see anything beyond Mt. Doom, Barad-dur, Minus Morgul and the Black Gate being created without a lot of help. The surrounding chain of mountains would be a task in itself. I am also purchasing an Elgato in the next few weeks so I can record and screenshot gameplay on the PS3 to up to YouTube. So there is that. |

There isn't really anything you can buy him to do with Minecraft without using the in game dlc rip off store. Or buying a t-shirt. Does he like other video games? |
