Terraria is currently $2.00 USD. Very much worth that price if you dont have it.

I really don't like the Assassin's Creed series much at all. It had a cool idea, but in the end the look of the gameplay videos I saw looked terrible.

I enjoy the lore, I'm rather fond 'alternate histories' and such, and if theres one thing the game does its seep itself in history. And the story keep me interested through the ones I've played ((I've not finished ACIII because its a **** console port and doesnt run corretly, and thus I'm holding off on the rest of the series)). But there are a lot of the gameplay aspects that I dont enjoy... the climbing gets repetitive, running through the rafters and ledges in some of the speedier parts is exciting, but slowly climbing to the to of another identical tower just for a update to the map gets old quick.

Assassin's Creed was repetitive.

Assassin's Creed 2 was perfect. I've platinumed it on two systems.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood was a huge step back with a lot of problems.

Never played the 4th game.

Assassin's Creed 3 was good, but it didn't keep me interested enough to finish it.

Never got the 6th one because I couldn't care to finish the 3rd.

Overall? don't buy the whole series and do a crap ton of research before buying any of them.

I have loved all of the AC games. IMO they improved with each release.

Honestly, I regret buying Terraria for $5. And wouldn't suggest anybody buy it for $2.

If you love RTSs, buy Planetary Annihilation.

How is Planetary Annihilation coming along now? I mean it's still early access but exactly how early access are we talking here? Like beta, alpha or pre-alpha? I'm always a little off-put about buying into early access stuff but I do like the look of the game.

Beta.

Alpha is usually pretty closed an usually invitational only.

It is acutally in GAAAAAMMMMAAAA now. AKA 95% done.

They just released a rather large balance patch.

The graphics are still beta-test-y but the game is solid. If you ever played Total Annihilation, you will like this.

So I've been playing it a little. Dragon Age Origins on pc controls very different on pc and it's basically a signficantly more complex version of LOL now. Where you have A LOT more options and 4 people to micromanage. But it's still really freaking awesome and one of the best rpgs I've seen from like the half hour I played..

So if you like LOL (maybe DOTA?) or are willing to spend $8 on something new, this daily deal is VERY much worth it. The base game, which is even cheaper, is also still very much worth it.

... What.

The game plays nothing like LoL... Are you drunk?

Also, you should get Dragon Age (if you haven't already, for some reason) because the third one is coming out soonish.

But if you get the second, don't expect it to be anything like the first. because it isn't.

Story is neat, but there is some large gap between Origins and 2 that isn't really explained well.

Eh. The second one was still alright. It's the Fable 3 to DOA's Fable 2. Or ti's Fable 2 to its Fable depending on your position there.

I didn't really think DA2 was bad, persay. Just very different gameplay.

Kinda like the difference between Mass Effect 1 and 2.

Also, never did play Fable 3

Skyrim is 5$ I might get it. Can you make a female main char? Sometimes I spend more time in the character editors than the games.

Yes you can make a female main character in skyrim.

DA2 actually improved the mage's interface and abilities quite the bit, at least on consoles. I have no idea if it was improved though on pc, and... the non-mage abilities kind of took a little bit of a backslide.

Also. Right now. Every tomb raider pc game ever in one big bundle is like $18. ... Jack is conflicted on that one.

Add me to the confused crowd.

From what I heard, DA2 was a steaming pile of **** and exemplary proof of EAs descent into atrocity, but I haven't played it myself, so I can't really confirm that.
DAO was okay. I've played through it a couple times, I think.

It's probably still better than LoL though.

I'm shocked you don't actually own Skyrim. Get it now.

Dragon Age 2 made mages severely weaker. Mages were OP as hell in DAO. Literally impossible to beat that game without at least one mage, two on hardest difficulty. Rogues were garbage, and you only had one if you wanted to try something different (there were no chests worth lockpicking in the entire game, and only about 3 nonessential lockpicking opportunities for quests and conversations)
DA2 scaled back the power of mages and retooled the combat system to help favor fighters.

I have done multiple play throughs on both PC and Xbox for bot. Pc is obviously better (because DAO was designed for PCs foremost)

DAO is a better game than DA2, as the latter suffers from the EA curse of "make this a game everyone will kinda-sorta like so we can maximize sales, even though it makes the game worse." Game was still decent however, and the story of both is solid.

Doesn't that rather mean that the other classes were underpowered, not that the mages were op?

My game budget is basically $0, the only reason I can get it now is because 75% off. '-'

Mages in DAO have severly good AOE nuking spells but had little to nothing to do about close range combat. But the AOE nukes were so @#$@$ good that you didn't care as long as you put 1 or 2 ai tanks into the fray. In DA2 they scaled this back severely but made it so mages could survive melee as recompense. Overall, it was much much more balanced, and I think it makes mages better overall from a gameplay standpoint.

Rouges were not absolute crap. You just had to put all their points and such into making dualwielding better. And if you wanted to dualwield, a rogue was the way to go. A dualwielding rogue did crap-tons of damage over time.

I agree that all the stealth and crap sucked @#$@ though. Maybe a better way to put it is that Rogues weren't garbage but what you would consider to be their "traditional" role was.
