You know joking aside I'm actually willing to give Sonic Team some leeway here as they seem to have been getting better over the last few games - I'd even go so far as to say the last two were actually good. Don't get me wrong I'm not about to run out and buy the thing on release day (who even owns a Wii-U?) but I'll certainly be following it. Be nice if they could finally dig themselves out of the hole that was most major releases since the 2000's or there about.

Sonic 06 had crappy vehicle mechanics, a crappy hub world, bad mini-games, and really needed an auto-save feature. But it had some of the better actual sonic and shadow levels since Sonic Adventure 2, and large parts of the game were very good.

Sonic Unleashed once again had a crappy hub world, the medals were just too much of a grind, and the werehog stages weren't that fun. But the day stages were probably some of the best 3d sonic stages ever made at that point in time.

Sonic Generations, at least on consoles and pc, once again has some of the best sonic stages in a 3d game so far, but once again the hub world and most of the other stuff sucked (starting to notice a recurring theme?) and the boss battles were just bleh..



Do you know what they need to do to make a good sonic game? They just need to give us a level select screen, a basic story, and well designed stages. Cut out all the extra crap that just gets in the way.

And if you are going to make a boss fight make an actual good boss fight. Make something like the Shadow the Hedgehog fight from Sonic Generations or some sort of egg-man machine that is actually fun to climb and homing attack. Don't make silver the hedghog from 06 or Time Eater from Generations level of crap.

Um... ahem. Yeah. That's been their problem so far. They add in a bunch of stuff to make it seem "cooler and new" but end up just making the crap gimmicky.

Oh. And release it on something that is not Nitendo. The WII U and 3DS don't have enough games for me to get interested. While I like Pokemon and Super Smash Bros I won't go out and buy a system to get them.

Hyrule warriors is an amazing game, I'm totally going to buy it.

I'm not saying it don't look like a good game. I'm saying it looks quite a bit like things I've already played and I have zero inclination to play another one when the context makes my fingers itch to find, plug in, and play a Nintendo Gamecube just so that the Mask Kid can drop the moon on my head again.

Honestly I only think it was the last two bosses that sucked - that is the Egg Dragoon and the Time Eater. The Death Egg Robot was a fun throw back as were the Shadow and Silver stages. The Chaos fight was probably better then the original - though that's probably because it was more level then boss and Sonic team has at least got that down. But yeah the last two sucked. I had to play Time Eater on mute to shut my 'friends' the hell up. The thing only had two moves it's not like I needed a running commentary on how to beat it.



Oh definitely. Nothing wrong with the Dynasty Warriors format. I'd certainly by it if I owned a Wii-U.

Time Eater is the 2nd worst boss in sonic the hedgehog history.

There was a boss where they gave you a fire shield at the beginning. This made you immune to lava.

The entire fight was the boss shooting very easy to dodge projectiles at you while you jumped from platform to platform on the 2D screen. Unless you had a fire shield in which case you could jump wherever you wanted.

The boss then took damage from every platform and all of his own projectiles and that was all that you had to do to beat it. Jump out of the way while he killed himself. That was a worse boss than Time Eater but that's about it.

Your thinking of the Lava Reef zone boss. I'd actually say Time Eater (and to a lesser extend all Super Sonic bosses) is worst. At the very least you can die to the Lava Reef boss through something other then time over.

A google search just says it is rumored for November 2016. Not much else at all though. Supposedly it will be Elder Scrolls 6: Argonia and set in Black Marsh.
