There is also Mansions of Madness, where one plays the Evil side and the rest band together to decipher the mistery that allows them to survive.
It's in the same universe as Arkham Horror. There is also the Elder Sign which is a toned dow version of Arkham Horror with lot's of dice throws.

Forbidden Island is another game similar to Pandemic (I think it's by the same people too).

Several people say that, but I fail to see how it is really that similar. Running around an island that is losing pieces of itself to the ocean and moving around a stable map seems mechanically pretty different.

It uses a similar mechanic to determine where things get wrong, the whole "shuffle your discard pile and put it on top, increase threat/water level" The way you fight the problem is also fairly similar in the "collect a set" mechanic.

One that is close to co-operative in that you trade with your opponents is Settlers of Cataan. No attacking, no messing with them, though you can block them by building in their way, but that only extends so far.

I'm not a huge fan of the type of coop game where everyone has the same goal and play in turns, as they tend towards one better person taking over (except for Flashpoint because OMG FIRE IS EVERYWHERE AND WE'RE DOOMED) even if they don't try to initially. However, there are games that avert this, Shutupandsitdown- a fantastic site for all your board game review needs plus occasional crossdressing - recommends Space Alert, which is a great co-op game which has so much depth and also Escape: Curse of the temple, which I haven't played but keep meaning to pick up, both of which use real time to make everything hilariously fun (and just plain hilarious). Arcane Archer brings up Settlers, which isn't exactly coop, but isn't mean enough to make anyone feel bitter and there are a few others like that, though none come to mind right now.

The only thing that makes you mad at Settlers is the rng of the dies, many games are won and lost due to dice.

Actually, the thing that made me mad about Settlers of Catan was that completing the game feels so hollow. All you ended up doing was gaining resources based on random dice rolls, expanding through n incredibly finite area that feels far too cramped to try and play with three players, much less four sometimes. And in the end, it simply stops when you get enough points from building homes and roads, but there is almost zero conflict aside from a bandit who can be moved around.

The thing about Settlers is that, due to how resource generation works, once someone gets ahead they tend to stay ahead. A turn-two city usually means game over, unless that player gets bad rolls or the others block off a critical resource with 7s/Knights.

A mostly-cooperative game I've enjoyed is Scotland Yard. One player is "Mr. X", who travels around a map of London by taxi, bus, or subway. The other players are policemen who try to catch Mr. X based only on what method of travel he uses, plus a periodic reveal. Tense, strategic, lots of fun.

All that post makes me want to do is go dust off my copy of "221 B Baker Street" and play it all over again.
