If that's not hyperbole, then you are extremely lucky. I get the people who crouch and uncrouch right next to you while you bleed out.

That's actually pretty funny. But out of the 50 or so people I've played with, I haven't had an issue.

Aside from the fact that PC will always be better than console spec wise, it will also always be cheaper.

I think its funny that people dump 500 bucks on a console and then 60 bucks on every game for it but for some reason think that PC gaming is more expensive.

Because I dont?

I pay 200-300 dollars for the console, then I pay about 15 dollars on average per game. Some, like Borderlands 2, I'll spend 30 - 40 dollars on, but that is above average.

My Xbox 360 has been the only real exception to this. But I also got my gamecube for 100 dollars, and I got my second 360 for 250 (first was 400) along with some games, so the trend holds enough.

As for repairs? Pc's break too honestly.

I see no reason to believe that pc is cheaper in the long run, at least for my needs. Console exclusives also play a part.

I mean, I only spend about 5 dollars on average for most games I get, because PC has a ton of cheap games that are lots of fun. And the few that I really, really want and don't feel like paying the price tag for I pirate, then buy on sale later. Like I did with BL2 - got the main game pirated, then got the GOTY edition this x-mas.

I haven't seen a game in a long time that actually made me wish I had a console, and most of them have been on Nintendo consoles.

So I booted up Borderlands 2 for the first time today on ps3 (finally managed to sort out the Amazon.com shipping fiasco) after owning the game since 3 months after launch.

I want to ask 3 things.

1. Anyone interested in playing?
2. How long does it take to fully level one character, if you had to estimate?
3. No seriously. Anyone interested in playing through the game?

1 - I'm on Steam, so I can't.

2 - With the DLC, probably about 60+ hours.

3 - Stop laughing, I like my computer.

The word Jack is said at least a dozen times an hour in this game. And my character's default name in every video game is just Jack. And it's not things like "Jack is a nice guy." It's things like "Jack's face is falling off again" or "I'm going to murder Jack" or "Peace and love brought to you by the Hyperion corporation. All hail our leader Jack". It is becoming quite the experience.

Also, while this is definitely a good game, it's not the shining beacon I've been hearing about for almost 2 years.

Did you play the first one? That kind of helps you appreciate it more. I can't really explain without spoiling the game, however.

Also, you have to keep in mind the game is 2 years old at this point, and people ALWAYS overhype things. I personally think the game is GREAT, and have had multiple level 50+ characters (It is easy to get to about 55, then it becomes more of a grind)

The game has tons of pop culture references, and a bunch of comedic stuff thrown in.

PC Master Race checking in, by the way

Yes I've played the first one, and ...... not really. They fixed a few things, but some other things also got a little worse, and it all balances out after a little bit, at least for me. Both are very very very good games though.

Also pc master race is a myth.

It isnt the end all of games but its a great one. The fun of a first person shooter that doesnt bro up like a lot of the war games and keeps things light, fun, and funny. Its good a unique look, good graphics but doesnt look bad on old machines, easy controls, and a good engaging storyline that's also open to allow for quirky DLCs that dont take themselves too seriously.

PC Master Race is only said to be a myth by dirty console peasants as they couldn't possibly hand they're subpar little world crashing around them. :V

On the pc thing, no it really is a myth, but pm me if you really want to talk about it so we don't derail this further.

Borderlands 2 is a good game. But I wouldn't consider it to be a definitive improvement over the first one, which you kind of expect from a sequel. They took a lot of stuff out from the first game, a lot of the new stuff is poorly done or gimmicky, and they really could have come up with a better objective than "Oh another vault".

There's no reason to PM you.

And of course there's another vault ... you're VAULT HUNTERS.

They removed a large number of enemy types entirely, Handsome Jack does not carry a story by himself, they lost some gun powers I liked in order to put in some gimmicky stuff I didn't, the guns overall got weaker, the new elemental power slag is unintuitive and not much fun to use, they gave too many enemies the ability to send you flying in vertical environments where that wastes dozens of minutes of your time, some of the characters are just plain annoying, and many of the missions cannot be completed in less than an hour and a half, which makes playing for just an hour much less fun then the previous game. And some more stuff I haven't listed as of yet.

There are tons of positive changes too, and they bring up to the level of being slightly better then the first one, which means the game is still a very good game, but it's got problems.

The next game is slated to be between BL1 and BL2 and take place on a moon, I believe.

You play as the Sheriff of Lynchwood (you can kill her in BL2), Wilhelm (the robo-man you kill after meeting Tina), Claptrap, and a fourth person who I am currently forgetting.

Oxygen will play a role, and be a resource.

Honestly, I'm just sad they have said they don't have plans to make BL3. I'd like to have 10 Borderlands games honestly if they were as good as the first two.
