So, I've had this game for a while now, but they just recently released the "Advanced Edition" with a bunch of updates.

The game is awesome (if you're into roguelike games, which I am) and the update added a ton of awesome stuff.

I highly recommend it, and am up for chatting about it. Such as the fact that with the Advanced Edition, you can now get new crew members that are trained at positions.

I've seen this game around on Steam and such, but I've not actually looked into what it is. I should do that it seems cause I keep seeing it brought up various places like here, or Reddit.

I played it abit. Haven't tried the update yet though, sounds neat.

I have it on Steam, but since my monitor doesn't support the proper resolution for it (and there aren't fixes that I have found), I haven't gotten to play around with it as of yet.

So yeah the update is pretty great so far. Lots of new upgrades that makes it much more balanced. Before I could barely win on easy but now I'm actually having fun killing ships!

So the recent update got me back into playing this thing. You know what? I'm really glad it did. I'm not sure why I stopped before (probably to play other games) but it's been really fun so far. I am growing particularly fond of having mostly lanius crew members and just having 99% of the ship open to the void of space - the joy of watching mantis teleport onto your ship only to choke to death is priceless. Freakin' mantis.

It's a lot harder than I remember it being before the update, but I'm loving the new additions especially the clone bay, but then i'm a fan of boarding.

The update made the game much harder because of the weapons (namely, the Flak Gun is my nemesis)

Also, the larger number of random encounters makes it harder to get scrap/fuel.

The Lanius are pretty awesome, and I was tickled when I got the Translator. Still have no clue about them, and I've only ever reached the Hidden Sector once (spoilers, there's a Hidden Sector)
