I recently acquired Tomb Raider, but I am close to be frustrated with the game. I am stuck at the QTE against the wolf at Mountain Village and I don't know what I am doing wrong.

QTE summary:

First step: Press <> continuously changing. OK
Second step: Hit F at the right time. OK
Third Step: Press E rapidly. Ok
Forth Step: Hit F at the right time. OK
Fifth Step: Press E rapidly. Fail

After 20 times, I still cannot defeat this QTE, even after seeing some walkthroughs. What I am doing wrong? Can anyone offer me some help?

I'll post something that will explain how to do it later tonight. I don't have access to the game till then.

Edit: Make sure you are hitting the melee button.

Also try this : "If you notice your system slowing visibly during QTEs, or your button presses seem to have no effect at all, you may want to turn down your graphics settings temporarily until you pass the QTE. Some players have reported that simply turning off the "Tesselation" option under Options > Graphics > Advanced fixed their QTE issues."


Graphis in this game at too high a setting screw up the QTEs.


If nuking your graphics doesn't work, then you either need to hit it earlier or faster.

I can't be of much help other than this until I can get at the actual game, so I hope it helps you.

Yes, this part of the game.

After the 40 times, I discovered what I was doing wrong. The game show the action to press a button but it doesn't say which button to press at this part of the QTE (I don't know if this is a game problem or a problem with my video configuration). I assumed it was the E button since all QTE until this time used this button for this purpose, but the right button is the F button. Very easy to beat after that, but until I discovered which button to use it was a lot of punishment for Lara.

I was going to ask if you had a controller so that you could easily tell what button you should be pressing. Cause it was really easy when I did it.
