"I promise, I can get you where you want to go." The man was smiling confidently.
I looked at him, slightly skeptical. "I haven't even told you where that is. In fact, I don't even know that myself."
"And what kind of explorer would I be if that stopped me?"

God touched down, cracking flash-dried bones under His talons. Even now, more spectral horrors emanated from his mind, his dementia space.

His ancient Planeswalker opponent smiled wanly. "At least tell me your name before I die."

The masked figure cocked its head. "My... name?"

Kirsh, struggling to wakefulness, groaned softly.

The sharp thud startled Jade awake at her desk. In the dim light she saw Raleris, struggling to rise from where he had fallen.

"Raleris, are-"

He twiddled his fingers.

Raleris, wincing, painfully rose and limped slowly onward, past his sleeping apprentice.

In the morning, she would not recall waking.

A Rakdos Spiker once asked me: “Do you think your law can stop my knife?”

I said to him: “No. But I know that I can.”

The strength of our law comes from those who enforce it.

I remind the Spiker of that each time I pass his cell.

You guys are much better at this than I am.

"It makes no sense! The orcs willingly gave us this land, said it was cursed. Why attack the scouts?"
"Sir, I think they attacked each other! These tracks aren't from -"
"ORCS!"
The captain spun around, and was shocked to see someone pointing at him.
The Djinn watched them all die.

Tears streamed down Dia’s face as she looked down on her friend. “I can't save you, Alavahn.”

All around, the clearing was strewn with the dead bodies of their compatriots and the corpses of their devilish foes.

Alavahn simply placed an outstretched finger upon her lips. Then, he was gone.

A thousand blades rained from the sky as the angel and demon lines met above. A thousand corpses joined them, and the ground ran red with blood.

“What do they expect us to do?” the squire asked.

The knight looked sadly at him, then out on the battlefield. “Just fight."
