Well, this seems like serendipidity. It is a sign from the multiverse, clearly.

Physical Description

Thanks to Raven for his assistance.

Aerik reminds me a lot of The Snow Man. He certainly seems to "have a mind of winter." I think you've done a good job of expressing what it might be to be pure snow mana... This feels like a colorless character, for sure, maybe more so than Karn and Ugin even.

Thanks Keeper!
I was aiming to have this element of zen to him that ultimately I felt was closest to a unique take on the overlap of :u::g: which is why those two colors factored so heavily into his background, but by the same merit, there are these smaller elements of :r::b::w: in there too that help take a lot of the edge off of those colors being dominant in how he acts.

Similarly, the "mind of winter" (like that phrase) is this transformation following the despair event horizon following Kona's death, a unique outlook that made him :s:. The Zen inclusion is one of the elements that I'm actually really happy to have pulled off because I've been trying to keep that element of eastern mysticism as part of Ice World, taken from the influences of China that was present in some of the world design. I was worried some of those elements were getting obscured by the dominance of the other cultural influences.

Yeah, I mean the whole poem seems really relevant but the other lines that stand out are: "And, nothing himself, beholds/Nothing that is not there and the nothing that is." That captures the zen-like state I think. Though there's something a little taoist as well... maybe...

Also nice card link :D

Ice World feels very pluralistic which is part of what I like about it. It's not monocultural but it's still resonant.

Well, taoism desires a path to zen. Or rather, the path is about understanding the zen of the steps already taken. Really, the difference is almost completely in trappings.

I swear this will reach a level of artform by the time I am done with it...

I'm glad. I think part of why that is comes from the chosen cultures and the binding threads that run through them. The idea of the man's experiences refracted through the lens of such biome conditions.

I still feel I could stand to accentuate the chinese aspects a little more, since they primarily sit in only two cultures. Then again, considering how long it's taken me to get to this point in the first place... maybe I shouldn't make more work for myself.
