So, this would be a bit of a project for whoever might be interested to catalog a comprehensive list of places our walkers have visited in a convenient list. This is mostly in case authors might want to use another's character and are curious where they've been. This would be a very relaxed project to list out and compile the travels of our various characters, not something that would require a strenuous exploration, but rather just whatever someone wanted to say about their character or known places of other's. Now, part of this, though, would be to be as specific as possible, down to the city/town/village if possible, to have the clearest picture of where they spend their time. However, there is another part of this that rears its head and might be problematic: Chiefly, the idea of nondeveloped planes being added to the travel log. On the one hand, if they have a name, they should probably be listed, but if there is barely any information THERE, then we run into the question of why it would be significant for someone to know it... So, feel free to contribute, or if you like, just express your thoughts on the project, be it comment, criticism, suggestion, or whatever you like. |

As for planes with little to no background, I can see that useful, actually, as that might give people something to develop, if they so wished. Sadly, I won't be able to join this project, at least for a while. Honestly, I'm barely able to type this right now... |

I feel similar, but I also feel like those instances should probably be specifically split from the developed ones as basically just name drops, which might mean a bit more of a direct link to where they were mentioned and in what context.Quote: Sadly, I won't be able to join this project, at least for a while. The last map of the Archives might help toward some of this. I would also assume this would gather whom has met with whom, as well? Because it's easy to forget the throwaway line about Renn Winmoore meeting "a tourist" (i.e. Illarion Vale) in The Dead City. |

This seems useful... but also a gargantuan task not so much to put together but to actually keep updated. I mean the wiki is relatively simple to keep updated and I still don't have time to do it >_< That's not to say we shouldn't try, just... something to keep in mind. |

That would more be a secondary thing after we've gotten the other stuff done. Well, once we get it running, updating it is less problematic. I mean, I keep the Salvation wiki running pretty smooth. Luckily every time we get new info in these stories, it'll only be a little thing to add. It's compiling it all that's the biggest initial challenge. |

To be fair, most of your issue with keeping the wiki updated is that, besides working on your own, you also have to work with thing in the wiki's formatting, as well as coming up with descriptions whole cloth in some cases. I don't have to actually do much to the archives other than spellcheck and checking my notes any more (I mean, sure I make backup copies, but how hard is that really?). Like Barinellos says, the biggest hump will be amassing the information in the first place, and then to update shouldn't be too much of an issue. Plus, it will help a hell of a lot for me if/when I get around to making that interactive map. |
