Okay, a promising start! Not much to say other than two notes about the shape. One is that the gem is actually set the wrong way as I see it. It's a vertical stone rather than a horizontal stone. The other is that it isn't set on the band itself, but set back away from the hand so that it would rest on the forearm more than the wrist. And I have an idea for the... style, I suppose, of the braiding/details that holds the gem, but not any actual ideas for the design per se. http://www.fluidity-design.co.uk/Alchem ... rmlet2.jpg I do like the fact that you've got a contrast going between the two (because I assume this is meant to be both of them and not just two different models) It's still a good start though! |

Legitimately very interesting, and visually impactful, but honestly I feel a little much.* The main thing that I was trying to illustrate from the armlet picture was how it wrapped around, with one end pointing to the top and the bottom pointing the other way. Seeing the way the wire coils around the gem does make me feel it might be better for it to go around the exterior like a more traditional setting. *I do want to take a moment and say that this is a really interesting design. The way the bands weave is a really cool touch. |

Goody my brain is starting to hurt. I guess we're getting somewhere! I like how the bands seem functional. Wrapping the stone is a challenge because it is small(?). It seems you are looking for a more bohemianly rustic handling of the wire... how it was crafted *, and wheels are turning atop a landmine of how to combine such simplicity and splendor. -Lunardo Da Mystic |

I think THIS is the closest I can get to a visual representation of what I mean about how the base wraps around the stone http://www.myringideas.net/wp-content/u ... ngs-11.jpg Incidentally, there are some really gorgeous marquis cut rings! I mean seriously.... Anyways, the stone is actually probably about half the length of a finger, so it's actually a bit on the larger side. |

What do you think if we wrap the stones like this?
