Hey guys! Remember how the old forum was completely trashed and every single link broke and we can't get back into our old archives anymore? Look what I found! http://community.wizards.com/group/magi ... multiverse All the links in there work, and so do the links in the subsections. I double-checked the pages for every plane and character that hasn't been transferred over yet, and they're all still there. Artwork doesn't seem to have survived, but the text is intact. That means we can link to (and even include in the Archive Index) things that haven't been migrated yet. |

I'm sorry to say I didn't know people didn't already know this. I went out and found it as soon as the forums kerploded so I could re-bookmark it. I figured others had done the same. I saved all the old Archives to my external hard drive, though, so I haven't actually visited there in months. |

Oh haaaa whooops yeah I'm in the same position as Luna in that I totally thought everyone else already knew how to find their way back. Navigation is hell obviously but yeah I've periodically been diving back down there for stuff. Neither Luna nor I have had time to dig basically any of it up though Hell, it's been a month and a half since I last added info to the current archive list on this site So if anyone wants to start porting stuff over, please feel free! Hell, we could even theoretically do as Arcades says and link to stuff that hasn't been moved yet, if we want to. I just know I won't have the time anytime soon. |

Awwww. I hoped I had made a momentous discovery. But! I'm still glad to have found it for myself. I don't know how to "port stuff" over but I might be able to find the time later this month to "index" links to the stuff that isn't in the Archive Index yet, in the Archive Index style, and post it so one of the archivists can add it to the Index. I'm unsure what to do with Keeper's "Apocrypha" Arabian Nights guide, since it isn't finished but still collects pre-rev canon. "Tezzeret Punches Out the Multiverse" and the Borgad style guide also never got voted into the Archive. |

I know I listed out the things I haven't yet ported of the old Archives around here somewhere... *checks hard drive* I've got to upload:
And all of these I need to go through adding proper formatting for this forum at the least. Several plane, character, and apocrypha pages will need to be organized properly into more readable sections. I... don't really trust others to do it all properly because I've already had instances where others have uploaded works and I had to correct mistakes in them. In other words, I would double-check and cross-reference anything someone else uploads anyway. *Many of these early stories don't really feel up-to-snuff with the quality of work we produce anymore. At least to me. I'll upload them regardless, because I couldn't stand to see them disappear. |

Yeah, a lot of the old stuff was brought in before we knew how... well... good we would eventually be. It's a problem with the Alara Anthology as well, though there's a lot of really solid stuff in there on the whole. I tend to end up doing a lot of double-checking for anything people add to the Wiki too. It's tricky to get everything looking like it should, which is why I've tried to set stuff like the story pages up to tackle a lot of it via back end code so people don't have to worry about entering stuff manually. |

That's still a useful list, Luna. Glaciera, Setoran, and Tyranix also haven't been transferred. Is The Blade That Cuts Eternity the only un-migrated artifact? |

I think I was actually working on Tyranix the last time I had time to spend on the old Archives, which would explain it not being in the folder which is keeping the other planes in my list; I would have moved it to where I was working on the .rtf file. I guess you could count Tyranix as "in progress". I remember bringing up Setoran as an issue with Sertaria's moons being retconned out of existence, but let me get back to you on those two (I can't recall of Glaciera had been imagined as one of Sertaria's moons as well or not). The Blade […] is the only un-migrated artifact, but it may not be the only one which needs uploading, since I'm behind like two months on my uploading duties. We only had, like, two artifacts in the old Archives, though, and I'm pretty sure any others have already been brought over. |

Who actually is responsible for Akura? Because I've never been all that pleased with that one, and quite frankly, if they aren't around anymore, I'm inclined to let it fade. As it is, I think Akura (if she is the one I am actually thinking of in the first place) only made it in on the merit of being a competition winner. Re: Sri Hara I've already wiki'd Sri, so that should make things easier for you. |

If memory serves (and at my advanced age, it doesn't always) the Blade that Cuts Eternity was the only artifact from the old boards. I could be wrong, of course. Somebody wrote a story about it a while back, I think. Was that Aaarrrgh? DisGo? Somebody. |

@ Barinellos: Yxoque made Akura. Maybe you can take it up with him; he still pops in from time to time, on AF&S mostly, I believe. Then again, you probably already know that. Thanks for Sri Hara, though. I keep trying to find time to work on the Archive, but it keeps slipping by me. Hopefully sometime soon I can catch up on everything I'm behind on. @ Raven: I'm moderately certain there was one more artifact on the old boards, but that I've already uploaded it, I think. It was DisGo's story that used it, but I can't recall the name of it offhand. Birthright, maybe? |

I don't remember another one, but I wasn't around for all that long before the apocalypse, and my memory isn't what it was in the callow days of youth... As for the story, now that you say that, I think you're right. That name sounds, uh, birthright to me... meh. |

I'll try to remember to ask yxoque about akura. In fact I think maybe I already did once? I forget what his answer was though >_< |

This is me making a public statement about Akura: I never really cared for the character and will continue not to care. I know some people used to have plans with her, but if no-one needs the character, feel free to let it slither off. |

Hi all. I've finished getting urls for everything I could find except some of the Innistrad stories. One that was voted in was hosted on a personal page and is lost. Some others are listed on this thread. The voting rules don't make it clear to me whether some of those got in or not. Finally, all the stories listed on that thread, plus a few others, have half-broken urls so I will have to pick through some more to get the correct urls once I know which ones to look for. Please tell me which of the stories on that thread were accepted/voted in? |

This was covered when we were putting the Innistrad Anthology together, which has been completed, and which you can view and download
as pdfs
or
as ebooks
I was highly involved in retrieving and editing the Innistrad Anthology, and let me tell you, it was a pain in the backside to try to make heads and tails out of those old threads. I'm curious as to what the "privately hosted" story was. I would think it was that werewolf story by... that lady with "tequila" in her username, because she never put the finishing touches on that. |

Yeah, I can't think of any other story that'd fit that description. |
