Well the field is lovely. (boob joke!)
Though overall this is... a lot less ornate than I had originally envisioned.
The sangrite shard should look like it is set into it rather than just on top of the scale. (If it helps, imagine the stone as the slit pupil of an eye)
The scale too doesn't quite have as strong a profile as I was hoping. This will probably help as a basic shape.

Aside from those notes though, I can say that the amulet you have is a good piece. Just doesn't quite match the details in mind.

Lot closer.
I think the shard itself could stand to be thinner on each end, sort of more jagged and... for lack of better word, more raw. Like an icicle's surface.
The scale itself would probably benefit from a sharper, more angular end, but the top looks good. (I sort of like the idea that it's as wide as it is tall, but that's not a huge issue.)

And yeah, we'll cross the gold etching when we reach that bridge.

It would help to get rid of the ribs. Those make it look a lot more like a croissant than a scale. I was mostly using the scale of chiss goria as a means to show you the shape, without focusing on the details like the ribs.

Oh yeah! That's looking snazzy now.
It'll look great once you add the gold and texture.

lmao You're the Boss.

Feel free to get abstract and sort of celtic knot with the gold inlay. Mostly along the center and top edges.
Think of it like a big T if it helps, but it's definitely close now.

The gold inlay will be tricky to work around.

I'm assuming this is what you meant by a T shape....?

...remind me to get you to do the designs for whatever anthology we do next.

How'd you do the paper background?

Cool! Its a mixed media- Paper( slightly wrinkled), cell-phone camera, and then photoscape. In the photo editor i auto-leveled and sharpened, colorized, and then loaded a pre-set antique-photo layer..... i think number 6? Oh, and then i hit the "Backlight" button until it would not go any further( which is what really brought the texture of the paper and its imperfections out), and then sharpened one last time.

I like the top (and bottom) character in A, but I feel like C and D are probably closer. In particular with D, I like the fact that all those designs flow into one another, which is what I'd like to see.

As an aside going forward, you really only have to worry about doing one set of them, because the other side is meant to be a mirror of the sigils on the other.

lol that's pretty much what i was thinking myself. Originally there were three muses: Sandscript, alien symbols and cursive. I had ruled out a keltic design because it seemed less like language for spellcasting. But the go ahead on abstract slash weaving really helped. This is tricky.

O, the paper i used is merely printer paper.

Whoops i forgot! I used a high level agfa effect prior to backlighting, and decolored -5 after I backlit.

Mmmmm... to be honest, I don't think any of this new batch really appeals to me. The one that has the most consistency is F, but it's also way too busy. It wouldn't read clearly, I don't think. A has some pretty good shapes, but it's on the opposite end, in that it is too sparse.
