Edit: to anyone just arriving, please check the latest pages of this thread for any new map of the Archive. Here it is, the latest form of the Archival interplay map. There are some points missing, of course, based on what stories I have not yet read through for such purposes. Molcru's stories actually need a read-through as well, though I already know of the five stories he is in.
As of 2014/5/10
Of note is that most of our creative canon (that is, the ones that do not touch or only feature cameos of official material) has seemed to gather in two large clusters; this actually exhausts a majority of the creative canon side of the mothership's Archives, with only a handful of disconnected pieces left. |

Cool, what software did you used to make the diagram? |

A free app on my ipad called "Idea Sketch" -- I actually need to find a good computer program to make flow charts so that I can pass the chart around more freely if anyone else ever needs to add to it. As it stands it's kind of a personal project that I'm basing/spreading around the M:EM. |

So it's not available for PC then? Why would somebody do that? Good work by the way. |

Luna, this continues to be super-useful. Thanks a ton. It also continues to remind me of work that I need to get back on top of, pronto! *scurries away* |

This tells me I'm a major source of disconnected archive entries: Adrisar and Taramir are hanging off everything, oddly with Ellia attached only to Adrisar. Illarion is decently connected, but knowing how those connections occurred, it's very tenuous. |

Keep in mind that I've been filling the archive with as many groups as I could to begin with, and you typically don't create something as a standalone -- like Adrisar or Taramir. Having exhausted most groups at this point, I've got to get all the little things that haven't been expanded, like Acharu, Kaapse, Option Number Four, etc. A lot of our earlier works actually have not been expanded upon, and I know we've recently dropped a few things due to obsolescence. At least your stuff always feels fleshed out. |

I still haven't added Rishima or Vyth and a number of things. This map is heavily biased toward what I've not just read, but remember that connect up somewhere. That is why the newer things like those surrounding Jakkard are more complete -- I've been reading everything up for voting since making the move to NGA. Also I haven't touched upon expanded canon (those that more heavily feature official material), so Legacies isn't even on the map yet. It's very likely I'll need to break that personal rule as I work through that section of the Archives. But I would be much obliged to anyone who can get me a complete list of who/what has been purged from the Archives. |

So far it's really only my own stuff which I am less than happy with. Kaapse and Kashius are the only things purged and nobody else has felt any real impulse to purge anything else, whether it be from them or another. |

Wait, did Kashius get purged? Since when? I was literally just mentally plotting out a story starring him =_= |

I definitely remember talk about it not long after we moved here. I definitely can't find a dedicated thread about it, though, which means it was most likely a Barinellos is hell on threadsTM moment. I'm not sure whether to say that there wasn't a vote on outing them, or to say that Kashius being out doesn't preclude him from being in a story, just that there wouldn't be a pre-existing structure for him in the Archives anymore. I'm just really confused as to what to do in this situation. |

KeeperofManyNames wrote: Wait, did Kashius get purged? Since when? I was literally just mentally plotting out a story starring him =_= It basically boils down to the fact that with Tibalt on the scene, his thunder is unceremoniously yanked right out from under him. Devil being such a strange thing for a walker to be, it isn't like having a redundant Leonin or Moonfolk. It, as well, has something to do with pride. I created him before Tibalt was a glimmer in creative's mind, but virtually the only thing people are going to see now is Tibalt. What were you going to do with him? |

I had an idea for a sort of Sherlock Holmes-esque story set on Jakkard prior to the Waste opening up with Kashius as the antagonist, but whatever, it's not like I'd've ever finished it anyway |

Weeeeell the thing is the concept was very tied to the involvement of demons, unfortunately. Like the hyperspecific nature of Kashius and his character were kind of what the whole story was built around so... yeah, pull him out and the whole thing falls apart. Oh well. There'll be other stories. Although I'm sorry that we'll never see anyone explore the M.O. Szat invented for him: asking people to guess his name. I always found that little touch to be delightful. |

See now given your penchant for writing stories based shamelessly on classic rock songs I'm shocked you didn't pick up on the reference there |
