Ruwin; I just wanted to ask whether you ever did a spell/typo check on Two Bullets and a Pocketful of Hate. I just went through it and did some basic formatting conversions to prepare it for this forum (adding spaces where some tabs should be, making line spacing consistent, etc.) and wanted to double-check with you if I can post it to the Archives. If you have anything that's been changed since it's been up, let me know.

And if not, then I'll put "get around to checking Two Bullets for typos" to my itinerary.

Oh, snap! I'm getting called out! >:O

Silliness aside, yes! I did do a spell-check and read-through of Two Bullets, it should be completely up to snuff. I keep all my work saved on my own Google drive, so I can send a copy of it over to the Expanded Multiverse Google account, if you would like to give it a cursory glance.

I'll go do that right now actually, before I forget.

EDIT: OK, it is done. Should be an e-mail in the Expanded Multiverse's inbox. Just click on the link and it'll take you right to the document.

EDITEDIT: Ok, so it did not go through to the Expanded Multiverse Gmail, so I sent it straight to you. Let me know if you get it.

Excellent... sort of. I see you had trouble logging in to the Archivist's gmail (you do live out in Nevada, right?). I went ahead and told google "it was me". It's funny seeing Houston, TX and Toronto, ON within days of each other under recent activity. It seems that since I'm the most active on the Archivist's account, google's just gone ahead and assumed that where I live is where Art Kavaist lives.

I'll get right to work on uploading it here.

Oh, and why don't you try the Archivist's gmail again later and tell me if it lets you in? Not now because I don't know how google would handle two people from across the country trying to log in at the same time.

Yea, I'm in Vegas.

I was trying to confirm that the e-mail go through, but it didn't let me in. I'll check on that later.

Anyway, thanks a ton. :D

No problem. I've just been *looks at previous post time* HOPY CRAP ONLY SPENDING THE LAST HOUR making a copy that had all the right forum codes and all. Also for some reason your indents were all over the place; some sections were 8 spaces, some were tabbed, and some were true indents. For the purposes of this forum I figured to make every indent five spaces.

Yea, I've been noticing that the way I uh... format... my writing translates poorly onto boards for some reason.

It really was a headache copying The Good Pontiff and Two Bullets over to the Wizards boards... T_T

So apparently five spaces don't actually indent diddly squat. Uh, what?

*sigh* I think I need to replace every five-spaced paragraph opening with something else now. Lets see how this indent function works...

On line in indent.

Line after indent. (No characters in indent.)

EDIT:

EDIT2: ohmygod how does the indent work? Is there anything I can actually use to indent?

Yea, and it does that double space thing! What the hell. >.<

I just give up trying to indent on boards, it always ruins my formatting. (Which is a very OCD oriented thing for me. Stresses me out. O.o)

I've noticed similar problems. The forum butchered my formatting of The Fallen Pharaoh. It indented about the first third correctly, and then indentations were just sort of...gone. Then, when I went in to manually add it, it seemed to change nothing. Very annoying.

Ugh, I thought moving to a non-wysiwyg software would mean we'd have less of these sorts of stupid problems...

Well, compared to the problems that HAVE been fixed by the move, this one is relatively minor.

Raven speaks the truth. It's sort of just a technical thing that turns into a big waste of time the longer a piece is - but if a piece is long, it's generally worth it, soooooo... it all works out in the end.

...Though I admit, it would suck for someone to submit a 30+ page story to the M:EM, make it look pretty within the board software, and then have it not be up to snuff...

Granted, the people who take the time to organize their stories in an aesthetically pleasing manner also tend to submit excellent work, so perhaps there's nothing to worry about.
