So, yeah, cleared my cache, didn't fix the issue :(. Can anyone who can see it give it an alternate host, maybe tinypic?

This belongs on the Wiki. So now it is:

http://wiki.nogoblinsallowed.com/index. ... rchive_Map

There's no thumbnail view atm because there's an error with the wiki and to be honest I don't feel like trying to figure it out right now.

I don't know what kind of coding black magic it would take, but I had the distant thought that if one were to make a clickable archive map ro navigate by... it's probably more trouble than it's worth.

See I think I have a good sense of how I would do that in 1998 via tables... but it would look like it was created in 1998 :P

There's probably a way to build it in Flash but... Flash is... Flash. :/

The major problem would honestly be updating it. That... I don't know how we could do that in a not-horribly-headache-inducing way. If anyone has any technology that would let us do it though that'd be cool. I don't know, can you do nonlinear maps with Prezi or Prezzi or whatever that thing is that's apparently In Vogue now?

I could have done it in html, but in wiki, I have only the barest inkling of what to do, largely because the script is so complicated. I've seen it done though.

I think you could do it in bare html in the wiki actually... It shooould work I believe... I think the wiki code is just sort of a surface thing that operates on top of the html maybe.

Oh who am I kidding I'm just making up everything I do on the wiki as I go along >_<

How would you do it in html?

it's essentially using an image map as a baseline plane with links attached to the X and Y coordinates of specific pixels.
If that made any sense... it's been years since I've done any web design, but that would work, I'm sure. I'd have to look into how to create an image map again though.

Ooooh yeah, that is a thing you can do. I vaguely remember that from web design o_o

Yeah I am noooot 100% sure how that'd work in the wiki but I think it could be done. I think we'd have to optimize the map more for that use though, and we'd definitely have to figure out some way to structure it so that new additions wouldn't force a total reworking of all the coordinates. The latter is the biggest problem I think.

Considering new additions can radically change the shape of the entire map?

Yeah, it might be something of a money pit to gild the lily.

... hold on, I think I can mix at least one more metaphor here...

Let's just stipulate that the lily is plastic, and there's no point in our watering it.

Not attempting it is just cowardice.

I dunno, I feel like Y'all works as a contraction and You're works as a contraction so Y'all're should work as a contraction too :P I mean, besides the fact that people don't do it, is there any rule that says it can't be done?

I tend to treat language more like paint than code...

My cousins would tell you that you can do it, but that you missed the first part. It should be "all y'all're,"

As an English professor, this makes my head hurt.

As a fan of Jakkard, them's fightin' words!

Raven stood, the dust whirling about his knees as the overcoat caught the gust and swelled. The sun high above beat down mercilessly, but no more so than the cold ruthlessness that stirred in his darkened heart. Keeper had committed that single terrible sin, and it was time for him to pay. Raven's knuckles popped loudly, the creak of leather audible even over the howl of the wind. The heavy steel hanging from his belt called to him, demanding to be free and let loose with the staccato pop that would litter the paper of Keeper's head into the wind, scattering the words to four corners.

If only Keeper would appear....

You know, that visual is pretty interesting, particularly if you happen to know that I only ever wear black, and do, in fact, have a long overcoat that billows in the wind...
