Okay, I got to ask this: Where is Affa in relation to some of the other Zendikari areas?

Okay, I got to ask this: Where is Affa in relation to some of the other Zendikari areas?

Affa Town is the closest location to the Eye of Ugin in the foothills of Akoum.

So Affa is IN Akoum, or adjacent? I'm finally getting around to writing a play-by-play before converting it into a legit story. So Affa is IN Akoum, or adjacent? I'm finally getting around to writing a play-by-play before converting it into a legit story. I really want to capture some D&D experience in this, since I do believe mine shall be one of the softer stories. Considering how aot of campaigns start, a bar/tavern is common, making Affa perfect.

What's the deal with these "Expeditionary Houses"?

They post notices of upcoming expeditions and help coordinate groups.

Oh okay, I had already decided to make the focal character financially wealthy, I just didn't know if the Houses were a regulatatory thing or what. The so-far title of this story: "Desperation Goes a Long Way". Riches are the least of Mory (the main character's) concerns. He has bigger worries.

Speaking of bouncing ideas around, for the Sunspring, I decided to place it in a region that had heavy sunlight, and from what I can tell, that is either Akoum or Ondu, but I'm not sure, and on top of that, the expedition will begin from Affa, in Akoum, so I'm not sure if there's enough travel time to have stuff happen. Any thoughts I could use to aid me?

Well, and I'm just throwing this out there, the Roil is a great way to elongate travel time. You never know when that thing's going to breeze through and change the land around.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Akoum is basically just mountainous, but deep in Akoum are what are called the "Teeth of Akoum" where things get really jagged and stuff. I suppose Akoum still works, since it's primarily :r: then :w: followed by :g: aligned, and it's mentioned a lot of stone appears to reflect/refract sunlight in a strange way, perhaps a cave could have such a formation that the sunlight from outside reflects into the cave, illuminating the Sunspring, though the art on Sunspring Expedition appears to be out in the open.

Oh okay, I didn't know I was jumping through hoops. So Ondu is well-lit most of the time? Does anyone know from Affa if one would have to travel deeper into Akoum to get there, or go completely the opposite direction to reach Ondu? I'm hoping there's *some* tidbit of info like that, and that that might be all the handholding I need, I have a hard time not discovering a "what if" possibilities for my characters' back stories. Between leaving Akoum and arriving in Ondu, that may also hopefully open up more opportunities for obstacles; it was hard to think of much else other than "roil quake" or "fire or stone elemental".
