Aha, if the anthology has already been assembled then I don't have to find the urls for the individual stories.

Yes, the lost story was by a person named something tequila.

Her name as I remember it was I_am_tequila or something similar. It was actually two stories, each based on one half of a dual-sided Werewolf card. I believe it was Scorned Villager and Moonscarred Werewolf. I remember liking the stories, but one of them didn't fit the Innistrad conception of werewolves, although I believe the change would have been minor.

But yeah, she definitely posted it off-site somewhere, or in her profile? Something like that. It was odd.

Well, as much as I would have liked to include her stories, I suppose it's ultimately for the best, because it allowed the inclusion of Ruwin's story and got him in the Anthology, which was good.

I should ask before I arrange the urls for the Archive Index: can anyone please give me the urls for the compiled Alara, Lorwyn/Shadowmoor, Future Sight, and Mirrodin/New Phyrexia anthologies? I have the urls for the separate stories (all of them AFAIK) but it'd be easier to index (and read) ebooks or pdfs if they've already been compiled and uploaded.

I find the sizes of the anthologies interesting. Mirrodin, Alara, and Innistad got far more stories than Lorwyn/Shadowmoor and Future Sight. Is that a result of the growth of the anthology and M:EM project over time, or of the community, or of the appeal of the blocks?

Also, were there any stories for those planes or Innistrad which were voted into the archive, but not included in the anthologies, that I should also index?

Here's the Alara Anthology (it was only ever made in pdf form). There were never any actual Anthology compilations done for Lor/moor, Mirrexia, or Future Sight, so you're n your own there.

I do have everything that had been accepted before the mothership imploded saved on my external hard drive, though, so I'll be uploading everything eventually. That does raise the question of whether I should upload all the short stories themed from one plane in a single thread or individually, though...

Alright! Thank you Luna. I didn't see "Excommunication", "The Beauty of Its Scales", or "Killer of Kings" in the anthology, so I'm including the urls for them along with Kaapse and Kashius since I don't know whether they're meant to be archived still.

(Anthology and UnMutleyverse stories aren't listed By Author or By Character.)

By Author

By Character

By Plane

Theoretically I should clear my cache and double-check all those urls. Which I'll do... if I get to it before an archivist adds this to the index.

I really feel like the old Tome of Flavor/Infinite Flavor Library, and the various other bits of lore that we have urls but not archives of, would benefit from an index like this. I'm willing to at least try to do that, but only By Plane, and it may take me.... a while. And obviously, if anyone has additional urls they want indexed, they'd have to post them or pm me.

Hm, so, I guess I could basically take this and add it to the wiki and just drop everything into category tags for works that aren't ported yet...

Y'know, with all this free time I have... >_>

Oh hey, Dear Namior is in the Innistrad anthology. That's pretty cool.

Among the unfinished works in there I also found Thrull Champion's Benalish Census Report, Monoredburn's Borgad plane dossier, and Deckhopper's Innistrad novel.

Can I get a link to the Borgad stuff? That plane should be expanded if we want to do more with Vyth.

Yep.

I've also done an index (similar to the above) for the old Tome of Flavor and also this thread of stuff on Salvation. Shall I post it?

Actually it'd probably be more useful as a sortable Google spreadsheet than just a list of links. It's sortable by type (story, poem, art, etc.), author, characters, planes, time period, and status (pre-rev, post-rev, post-Mending, fanfic, etc.).

Yeah, if you don't mind posting it that'd be great!

And do you have access to the shared drive account?

Do you WANT access to the shared drive account?

Yeah, the old Tome of Flavor stuff and the Salvation stuff is all stuff I've been meaning to dredge up but haven't gotten around to doing, basically >_<

I don't think I have access but I can just email the .xls file to whoever has the time to put it in the drive.

Also I can email my .doc list of other storyline urls in case I have some you don't. If you want. (Gods I should just work this into my index arggh.)

Or since I have the time to upload you could grant me access. I have a Google account, but not a skydrive or whatever account.

Whichever's easier.

I'll send you the password for all the Archivist stuff. That'll probably be easiest.

Ideally, if the index were on a shared M:EM account where any archivist could edit it, everyone could start adding urls of story sources. Identifying what needs to be preserved is the first step to organizing a project to preserve it... before any more is lost.

Fortunately, almost anything that currently exists either is or can be saved on the Web Archive. But ideally we would archive Magic flavor for future vorthoi in a redundant place as well.

I tried to edit that once. But my actions inadvertently created the great Memory Wars of 2014. There were many casualties.

You probably don't remember that...
