But also, it is just a suggestion, so if Barinellos is dead set against them, that's fine. I'm not big into the Moonfolk, but I'm sure we can get them to work.
Yeah, I'm killing the Cephalid idea.
I have used them in the past, but they are absolutely NOT going here. (In the plane of Ahden, if anyone is curious.)
In the exact same way that you feel Cephalids have never been done well, the moonfolk were only ever seriously tied to the rabbit aesthetic of Kamigawa.
@Keeper: There's always the Soltari for white if you want alien.
I... actually sort of want goblins in for red to be honest. There's just a really solid corollary in the trickster aspect that resonates with goblins here. Plus, I'd really like to push them into an actual civilized society... sort of. Point is, an advanced society instead of digging mudholes in the mountains.
NOW, that being said, we could still have red centaurs. But they wouldn't be characteristic. In fact, when you get down to it, they sort of CAN'T be. They sit in the 3/3 range, which makes them a mid selection.
Personally, I've never really seen cat-folk in white. Cats are so often solitary creatures, white's focus on community seems off to me. I like them better in green, personally. Actually, thinking about it, maybe they would be a good fit for our One/All, One/Many, Blue/Green dynamic.
The thing is that they most often attach it to lions, which are very social animals. I mean, the name is even taken from that: Leonin.
I was thinking
maybe Satyrs for green.
