Hmm, since it's as good a time as ever to use the compatibility between the two, I've decided the party going on the Sunspring Expedition will be larger, and 2 of the characters will resemble some of my previous D&D characters. One was a 3.5 edition Drow who became deaf via awful listen check rolls and a DM with a bad sense of humor, the other was a homosexual Eladrin sorcerer. Here they will be two companion elves, one is a deaf elf who employs :b: magic and a lightly homosexual elf who dabbles in :u: magic cantrips. They both view themselves as misfits as far as elves go, but accept each other as allies...or more, not sure if that matters much. Anyway, they will ask to join the expedition, both sort of out of an urge to explore those same locations and interest in the alleged healing powers of the spring, to possibly heal his hearing.

I did not get that joke until just now. >_< Well played, sir. Well played.

I am legitimately shocked at that.

They both view themselves as misfits as far as elves go, but accept each other as allies...or more, not sure if that matters much. I'm not one to often rag on ideas, but... Those don't sound like the Zendikari elves that would be going on this kind of expedition.
For one, NO elf uses blue magic on Zendikar.* The second is more possible, but they'd be from the Mul Daya, and they are considered... weird.

*Yes, I know, you can do anything so long as you justify it as "they're out of the ordinary!" but... that doesn't make it a good idea. My suggestion is to just NOT try and buck expectations, because you're fighting a lot of preconceptions that the reader brings to the table and... quite frankly, it doesn't sound like you have any really good reason for making them "different" from the average. So long as there is a legitimately good reason, that's one thing, but that isn't true in this situation.

So, in searching for a couple of things, I managed to dig up some concept art that I'd never seen before.

Are you Gaynalbeads?

Nope, Sol-Ring. I'll get to work on something, then.

Sweet! That means I don't have to go tell Sol-Ring that Pyromancer's Ascension has been taken!

...Although I'm tempted to, anyway, just to bring everyone's confusion level to my own.

Welcome to the team, Sol-Ring! :D Have fun with fire!

Aaaaaaaand we're out of quests.
Someone on tumblr just took that last one.

I am... mildly surprised at the response tumblr gave us. Pleasantly so.
Of course now we have the issue of actually seeing material produced, which... will consequently make me go absolutely bonkers as I continue to put off working on my portion since it's supposed to be the HUGE finale.

You helped organize and advertise it, that's a contribution. And you'll probably get stuck with the graphic design too ;).

I'll probably invariably be one to do the graphic design.

Now assembling it on the other hand....

Of the two, the graphic design is probably the harder part. Assembly could actually be done by anyone with basic knowledge of CSS and HTML (for epub files) or of older (better) versions of Word (for the pdfs, which can be built in LibreOffice).

In fairness, I have a fairly solid idea to start with.
That's why I ended up finding that concept art earlier after all.

Well let me know if you need help compiling things again. I'd be glad to look at the graphics-in-process.

So, I've got the first line of my story planned out, but it requires names, my oldest foe. Does any lore exist on Kor naming conventions? So far I've not been able to dig anything up (also if this is inappropriate for this particular thread, please let me know, I felt it best to keep questions related to the project in the project thread.)

There are a few things you can glean from looking through Kor related flavor text.
Not a lot written about it sadly, particularly since they SKIPPED the Kor entry of the walker guide.

One trick I occasionally use is to simply use placeholder names, names you don't intend to use in the end, but will allow you to get the story itself down. Later, a simple search and replace will allow you to change them as you wish.

I only mention this because occasionally people will get stuck with things like names and eventually lose their fire for a project, when they could have pushed through it and solved the relatively minor issue of names afterward. Just my little piece of advice.

That's a good tip, thank you I'll keep that one in mind, since names are a hard part of writing for me. I can actually probably use the Kor names from the comic WOTC put up where Chandra's trying to get through Zendikar and goes through an entire town's worth of guides in the process.

And yeah, don't get me started on them skipping the Kor in the planeswalker's guide, my completionist instinct was in quite a tizzy about that one.
