I'll veto any new blue or white characters I swear to god I'll do it!

(no actually that's fine but wow we do lean towards those colors pretty heavily don't we?)

No, actually we're leaning so far away from them we've broken through the other side and circled back around.

Ask a stupid question...

I'm pretty confident like 90% of us identify as :u: in some way or another.

Likely. I know I identify as :u::r:.

:g: is the one that we have the least of and it seems pretty obvious why. The weird thing is for as much as I use :w: that's the second lowest identity for me. I identity as :b: before I do :w:!

But yeah... lemme just cross check the color identity for my stuff....
Spoiler

Then there are the stealth characters I have lurking outside the archives that many probably don't remember. Like Aerik :s:
There are more of those than you might expect....

I feel like we should probably make a visual compilation over in the race relations thread. That way we can group them and know exactly how things stand.

And looking through the icons, can I just say I find it a shame we haven't found a more robust use for :land::instant::enchantment::sorcery::creature::artifact: ?

I always felt like the identification of intellectual pursuits as :u: really skews color self-assessments, if only because no one wants to put a hand up in the air and say: "Nope, the life of the mind holds no interest for me!"

Of course, I eat books, so I might not be the best person to assess this sort of thing.

I have one character and he's uw. :/ I am Part Of The Problem.

@OL: Yeah, I'd agree with that. Ditto green's association with "nature stuff."

I refuse to accept blame for any problems anywhere ever!

Unless of course you consider poetry in our Archives as a problem.

Actually, you know what? Not even then. You suckers voted it in, live with it! I'M NOT ON TRIAL HERE!

So, I managed to accomplish absolutely nothing today.
I quite honestly don't know how to feel about that.

Oh, and I'm getting a new cat this week.

It's a short tail!
And by that I mean the Barinellos.

I'd say go for it. It's nice to have a crop of new characters not wedded to any of the big huge ongoing storylines.

I'll continue to develop the idea then, though there are a lot of pieces still not on the board yet. She might be ready by the time I leave for the convention.

So uh... how badly are you guys going to chew me out if she ends up having some white in her identity?
I wanted to make her mono-blue, but... well, part of her magic really wants to draw from white.

Wow bro, a person who wants mostly to seek knowledge and uses healing/justice magic? Sounds to me.

Nnnnope. Doesn't use healing or justice magic.
Not 100% on her motivations yet either.

It's her methodology that is informing this sort of thing.

THe only characters I really have are

Asher :b:
Agmund :w:
Renn :r::u:

So I'm contributing to the lack of green problem. I think I can maybe help fix that. If people wanted me.

But yeah I identify as :r::u:, and :w: the least.

Yeah, it's something I've realized is an actual shortcoming of the color pie, besides the fact that Magic essentially markets itself as a :u:-person's game, is that :u: and :w: have essentially been painted as the only "civilized" colors, with :g: being nature to the point of destroying what we normally label "civilization", :b: being death and selfishness, often to such an individualistic bent as to forget anything resembling society, and :r: alternately as "CHAOS!" and "SMASH!"

My only original Walker (Erik Sylvaine) is , and he's a nice and civilized guy. And one of these days I'll finish the story I started half a year ago, and introduce another protagonist, who will be . So I feel I'm going in the right direction. It's actually funny, because I have a very personality, but I find writing protagonists kinda boring...

Besides, we don't need anymore Green 'walkers! We have the Greenest of Green 'walkers! He's just so GREEN! Clade is who I'm talking about. Greeeeeeen. GREEEEEEN.

Oh, and Pendulum is U/G if that counts for anything.

Actually, I seem to have touched on all the colors except for Red... Hm...

...Oh man, I have the best idea. brb.

I would debate that "I" is in fact the greenest walker!
Because if you hold it up, it makes OTHER THINGS look green!

Do you think another shapeshifter character would be overdoing things? Because I've got an idea for one that's more in the druidic turn-into-various-animals vein and r/g but I wasn't sure if that'd step on the Shifter's toes...

Also hey first character from me in basically freaking ever. :P

I don't think someone that can basically take different shapes would be stepping on too many toes.
Not so much a shapeshifter as a skinshifter.
