In the meantime, here are some prompts I had saved from earlier and never got around to posting:

Quote:
The Duchess reflects on her recent meeting with Beryl, the Heart-Scarred on her deathbed.

Well, that sounds like something that might eventually happen.

Quote:
Syl of the Dual-Walkers finds herself in command of a very strange army comprised of Drake Ninjas, Orggs, Snow Manticores, and even Teenage Incarnation Centaur Cowards.

That is indeed a strange army.

Quote:
Raiker Venn attempts to apprehend and bring to justice a newly ascended Planeswalker: a Centaur Ninja!

I want to see a centaur ninja. Who will write one?

Quote:
Coincidentally, The Shifter and Gale both end up on the first sphere of Phyrexia. There, they become allies in a planar civil war.

OK, I really want to see this.

Quote:
The multiverse has it out for Larasa, as The Shifter and The Duchess catches up to her. Poor Larasa now is left suffering on one of the thousand refractions of Rabiah.

I wonder what Larasa did that got both of them to hunt her down.

Quote:
The Shifter always dreamed of going to Arbagoth--But not like this! *sob* NOT LIKE THIS!

Like Raiker, The Shifter is sorely disappointed that someone destroyed the plane before he had a shot at it.

Quote:
In the Drinking Noggle tavern on Ihn Gallad, in front of a gathering crowd, Nasperge gives an Aubedore reading to The Duchess in the "Crossroads pattern."
For the corners, he draws the Field (inverted), the Throne (inverted), the Dwarf (inverted), and the Merchant (inverted).
For the spokes, he draws the Wolf, the Giant, the Endless Maze (inverted), and the Temple (inverted).
At the Crossroads, he lays the Queen (inverted) vertically as the destination, under the fate card of the Tempest (inverted), which is horizontal.
The Duchess is very confused about its meaning.

Well, we can all hope that the inverted Queen comes true.

Quote:
In the Sword and Mystic tavern on the south polar continent, for a nominal fee, Alessa Rehn gives an Aubedore reading to Renn Winmoore in the "Crossroads pattern."
For the corners, she draws the Teacher, the Peak, the Orphan, and the Dwarf (inverted).
For the spokes, she draws the Crow (inverted), the Shadows, the Angel, and the Wolf.
At the Crossroads, she lays the Priestess vertically as the destination, under the fate card of the Smith, which is horizontal.
Renn Winmoore tells Alessa to stop drinking. ..in bed.

Well, Alessa is probably one of the characters we have that is the most likely to be drinking in bed...

Quote:
Renn Winmoore has a secret admirer! After receiving several gifts, Renn discovers the secret admirer is Narissa Enshar! Renn doesn't know how to react!..in bed...with chains.

Yeah, that would be hard to know how to react to.

Quote:
Chardis of the Dual-Walkers attempts to explain mana to Illarion Vale, but Illarion would rather talk about Faerie psychology.

"No, you see, the faeries have to die and the forest must be leveled in order to purify the mana of this plane."
"But why do the keep flying in those circles even after clearly hearing you say that?"

Quote:
Renn Winmoore throws a party on Shandrovol. He invites Illarion Vale, Kala, The Iron Doctor, Raiker Venn and Cyrryc Adda, but then Renn never shows up and stiffs them with the bill!

Well, clearly Vasilias is behind this. Somehow.

Quote:
Raleris, the Lorekeeper apparently acquires the artifact known as the Amulet of the Planeswalkers from Lumina Revelaris but is secretly being manipulated by Clade and Vasilias, Lord of Ariva.

I find it hard to picture Clade and Vasilias cooperating.

Quote:
Coincidentally, Maral, Celestial Wright and Kala, The Iron Doctor both end up on the continent Below Land. There, Maral and Kala meet up, and together begin searching for The Black Grail, but the planar natives are determined to stop them by any means necessary.

I don't know enough about Kala to be sure, but this seems like a possible scenario.

Quote:
Things have gone poorly, and it seems to be Vasilias, Lord of Ariva's darkest hour. But then, suddenly and out of nowhere, The Duchess arrives! She comforts Vasilias, and things start to seem better for him. Together, Vasilias and The Duchess head off to explore Shandrovol.

Sorry, Shandrovol, better luck next time!

Quote:
Nasperge throws a party on Siraus. He invites Yeong Eode, The Shifter, Aamir and Sava Pith, but Siraus mysteriously explodes!

Now who in that crowd could possibly have done that?

Quote:
It's happy hour at the Leaping Crab tavern on Mercadia, and The Shifter , a planar native, and Aloise Hartley are carousing. Suddenly a planar native arrives in search of heroes to save Iun Ilana. Who will rise to the challenge? And can The Shifter be trusted?

No. No he can not.

Quote:
Completely on accident, Huinn, Last of the Darkwings saves Kahr-ret-Taris's life. Kahr returns the favor by trying to kill Huinn.

This is surprisingly likely.

Quote:
After an unfortunate incident, Donagut is suffering from a Vedalken bite. Now, he has to travel to Arbagoth in search of Kirsh of the Flats in the desperate hope that he can help.

My theory is that Donagut was repaying the monks who taught him martial arts by teaching them some of his personal combat tricks, and people just got a bit too excited in sparring.

Quote:
Due to a slight miscalculation, Gale was attacked by a Jellyfish Berserker. Now, Gale has decided to take it out on Rishima, Queen of the Black Sands.

Well, if there ever was a character who would encounter a jellyfish berserker...

Quote:
The Duchess comes into conflict with Ilyria the Accursed and Aria.

"Sorry, you will each have to make an appointment. I can't let just anyone stomp into my office to demand justice for whatever life or plane they believe I have ruined. Let me see, can we do this Thursday, three weeks from now?"

Quote:
Ilyta decides to write a guide for a new plane she found while unearthing an ancient civilization. It says:
Welcome to the plane of Uwsn. It is a massive plane that is a polyhedron, and its land is mostly urbanized.
It is a war-torn place, with many small groups scattered across the world.
The plane's intelligent races are as diverse as Dominaria or Ravnica. Centaurs, vedalken, faeries, rat folk, turtle folk, rhox, wolf folk, cat folk, insect folk, humans, snake folk, elves, noggles, goblins, and ouphes, are all found here.
The plane's iconic creatures include Elementals, Griffins, Whales, Shadows, and Dragons.
Here, you'll find things are pretty normal, all things considered. Enjoy your stay!

At first, I thought this was a bad plane prompt, because how can a mostly urbanized plane consist of small scattered groups? But then i realized that it also mentioned an ancient civilization. So now I'm picturing a plane with a cityscape on par with Ravnica, except the people who built the city died in a plague (which only affected their species) centuries ago. Instead, all of these smaller tribes, which used to be enslaved by the now-extinct rulers, are fighting for control of the plane.

Quote:
Aloise Hartley finds herself in command of a very strange army comprised of Eye Mongers, Surrakars, Gigantic Clerics, and even Plant Faeries.

So, are Eye Mongers people who sell eyes, or Eyes who sell other things?

Quote:
Blink has accidentally misplaced The Staff of Endless Memory on the continent Koprafig, on the rogue plane Acharu. Can she find it again before Illarion Vale learns it is missing?

"Oh, if I only could remember where I put it..."

Quote:
Alessa Rehn receives the artifact known as An Æther Vent from Beryl, the Heart-Scarred.

I wonder where Beryl got it. Also, it makes perfect sense that Beryl wouldn't trust herself with something like that.

This would be a very interesting story, and the backstory is already written. Nice!

Huh, way back at the start I thought I tried drive and it couldn't read from there for some reason o_o Nice! This makes a lot more sense since we do everything via drive anyway.

Well done :D

This is actually really apropos! In an early draft of "A Name in a Book," in the scene where Alessa is describing her hangover, I had her say to Beryl: "I feel like someone opened an aether vent inside my skull." And Barinellos specifically asked me to change that line, because he didn't want to imply that Alessa was familiar with aether vents.

Auric Avarius chases Aamir to Moag and Helkavin. Upon landing on Helkavin, he apparently must grudgingly accept the help of Dantalion but is secretly being manipulated by the other 'Walker.

Huh. I can see it, I guess.

Most of those things do not go together...

Well... crap.

Hm. :/

I wonder if I could reproduce the functionality... [sigh] that seems like a LOT of work, particularly since I don't actually KNOW javascript I just sort of muddle around till things seem to work correctly

I'd like to say that after taking a cursory... course over Python and then HTML/CSS, I'm now going to start on learning Javascript (likely Jquery afterwards because I'm under the impression that it's going to be necessary in order to get Javascript working on pages), so... this might be a thing I can feasibly do in the near future. With a little luck and planning, I can make the syntax easier to grasp, though it might just be easier to port the old syntax to not have to re-type all our prompts.

Also, the guys at dashnet are trying to restore pastebin functionality by emailing them, by the looks of it. I'd be willing to bet it will get sorted out in a few days.

Quote:
Ygraine of Segovia arrives on Mirrodin, in the possession of the artifact known as The Staff of Endless Memory. But the Eightfold Lotus covets The Staff of Endless Memory and attempts to steal it from Ygraine

For some reason, I find a fight between Ygraine and Jinsen really appealing.

Quote:
Kirsh of the Flats has grown suspicious of Nasperge and follows the other 'walker to the Blue Drone tavern on Aralheim. There, Sri Hara attacks both of them, revealing the true manipulation.

Because no one will see it coming!

Quote:
Kala, The Iron Doctor wants to learn about how to bathe a Skeleton Turtle, and so receives the artifact known as The Ythol Annulus from Sri Hara. However, Sri Hara is suffering from rabies, and will only help Kala if she goes to Aldis to see Nasperge about a cure. Nasperge knows about the cure, but will only give it to Kala if she can locate the Sword that Cuts Eternity. Kala searches for it on Mirrodin, but only finds a splinter. At this point, Kala gives up on this side quest.

Okay, wait a minute... So, Sri Hara somehow obtained the Ythol Annulus from the Tattered King, and in the process contracted rabies (which I suppose explains why he attacked Kirsh and Nasperge). Now, because he attacked Nasperge, he can't ask him for help directly, so he sends Kala to do it. That makes sense.

I guess the real question is why Kala feels the need to bathe a Skeleton Turtle.

It appears the ban/block/whatever was lifted as of yesterday or earlier. Which is also good news for me because I think it was also blocking the CSS code I tried to apply to my googlebloggerblog.

Well, this certainly begs the question of "why."

Ellia the Endbringer has gone missing, and now Kala, The Iron Doctor goes in search of her. The search takes Kala from The Wheel to Tarkir and finally to Jakkard, where she finds that Ellia is attempting to uncover the secrets of literature.

Kala: "There you are. It has been a very, very long time, Scientist."
Ellia: "You too, Iron Doctor. Say, since you're here, do you know anything about this 'Raven' guy? It seems he wrote every folk song on this blasted plane..."

A few things:
1. What kind of a tavern name is "the Broken Advisor"?
2. Is Alessa partying with Huinn nightmare fuel to anyone else?
3. Why does Ygraine want the Ythol Annulus? Is it because they both start with "Y"?

@ Hot Dog -- I love it! And I'm sure that Beryl would be grateful, for once, to not be the one who was responsible for a firestorm!

And the Common Sense Accord got an audible laugh. :D

Also, the idea of Beryl meeting a bunch of flamekin is actually a really interesting one. I can imagine her trying to study under them, almost.

Glad you liked it! I admit that I'm pretty proud of the little touches in here, like the aforementioned Common Sense Accord, and this line: "and the arsonist flamekin were reduced to cinders…and ran away."

And, of course, the return to the old joke about not really knowing how old Aloise is...
