Update: While I wanted to keep Milov's Ravnica-esque cultural naming, but while for some time I wanted Milov to be from a never-speak-of-it plane, now I'm starting to conceive what sort of plane he would be from. I am already getting the feeling that life on his home plane (working names = Amoria, Amoris, Amorice) revolving around pursuing a destined romance, "soulmates" if you will. The plane has more of a
/
: *focused* organization to it, encouraging this romantic destiny. While it's not common, some mages learn to use different colors for philomancy. Where Milov is concerned, he is given a little insight into his soulmate. Due to this magic, as used by non-planeswalkers (presumably
love sages in this case) don't extend beyond their one world, so the divining yields absolutely no answer, leading Milov to believe that he is one with no soulmate in a world where everyone has a soulmate (this event alone may or may not cause his spark to ignite) thus Milov searches the multiverse for a better answer. (As he struggles with the concept, he may behave a bit more like a pickup artist often enough)
I've also figured out a tiny plotline with ally Planeswalker Alfhilda. After her sister Blenda (a white mage, not sure if cathar, inquisitor, or something else) hunts her down to kill her because she's a werewolf (and almost succeeded if not for Alfhilda's spark igniting, taking her to Lorwyn) Alfhilda loses faith in her capacity to be loved by anyone, but after meeting Milov and gaining his sympathy, he suggests that he can divine for her the location/identity of her would be soulmate, but either because Milov believes it would be easier on her home plane of Innistrad OR because the only sources of
she would be familiar with would be on her home, they go to Innistrad to find and form a mana bond with blue mana for Milov to use for his divining spell (Alfhilda on 4 paws for sense of smell and and are stopped by a denizen but Milov impersonates a follower of Avacyn (cathar, inquisitor, ?) and claims he can handle the werewolf. Later, Milov casts the spell, having formed a mana bond presumably with
Hinterland Harbor and eventually (through navigating the multiverse and such) determines it is an Aven (haven't decided if being a Planeswalker would improve the theme or not, but I've always loved the plot of the film Ladyhawke, hence the racial details)
