Okay, this was prompted by the Inquiries thread, but I want to know what the "consensus" is.

I'm working on a Jakkard story that may or may not involve an angel that another character may or may not want to kill. So, opinion time:

Assuming my character knows his foe is an angel, would said character be correct in assuming a perfectly placed bullet between the eyes would be sufficient to kill said angel?

We'll go with whichever choice gets the most votes.

I would say, more often than not, a point blank shot in the head would be enough to kill an angel, even without a magical bullet.

But on the other hand, I was then reminded of one Beatrix Kiddo, and then I just had an image of a Jakk angel reenacting Kill Bill.

It was a surprisingly wicked thought.

Yeah, I'd agree with that, though I'm tempted to require some small amount of magic just so we can get some more stories with magical guns in them :P

Hey, I did my part.
Though I'm of the opinion that we actually do need to be light with the spellshots because they AREN'T common. They are definitely rare.

I actually have 2 jakkard stories that I'd really like to tell, but... they're overall fairly low on the priority.

So, my thought is that a bullet between the eyes will do it.

Aside from some *cough cough cough* purely selfish reasons for wanting that to be the case, I'll offer the following rationale - I think a big part of what makes Jakkard so interesting to me is that the guns are a great leveler. The power tiers, if you will, on this world are more compressed than on most because anyone can be potentially fatal to pretty much anyone else. It's very different from most planes, and I think it creates a kind of undercurrent of tension beneath character interactions which makes them really pop for me. The fact that a nog with a six-shooter can off an angel (or a demon, for that matter) provided she's quick enough and smart enough changes the way these people interact with each other, and it changes it in a way which I think is distinct and fun.

Would you be better-off packing magical heat if you can get your hands on it? Abso-effing-lutely. But a bullet and quick reflexes will do, and I love how that tends to level things out.
