Yes. Her face is different though. She has looked more like Tessa Thompson.

I had to go back and look, and she was certainly brown.

I'm pretty sure the voice actor in Arena is black as well, though they do need to release the credits on that.

Not a fan of the last few pieces of art, but Ajani and Yanling look cool. Also, Ajani has a sword now? Was his double axe not enough weapons already?

I had only seen that one art of her and yeah her skin is a bit dark, the lightning just made me think she was tan or maybe hispanic..or whatever you wanna call it.

He's had a knife for a while.

Also, holy crap that Chandra art is terrible.

Oh, you're right. He's even holding it on Ajani, Mentor of Heroes and Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants. I guess I just forgot.

They don't have any damned white in them.

This seems to canonize the Ulgrotha planeswalker guide.

Wait, what? That cleric clearly is from Innistrad. And angels having souls and being reborn is only true about Serra angels, so I find the flavour of this card kinda weird...

A lot of cards with "-last words" in their flavor texts.

It seems to be a dragon thing. I think it's a 1:1 relationship between "cards that involve dragons" and "cards with 'last words' flavor text".

Every dragon-based card in M20 has someone's last words as flavour tezt and it's a wonderful touch. Please pass on my high fives to whoever came up with that

The Planeswalker Guide to Ulgrotha mentions that angels are constructs made for "war spirits".

There's 0 indication that that flavor should be taken literally.

Chandra has a history of that. Which core set was it that had the promo art where her torso was a head's height taller than it should be? I think the War Of The Spark token back promo art also has her arm looking funny, but it's hard to tell.
Chandra's still ahead of Gideon in the weird art department though.
Actually, her new rare and uncommon cards in this set have her face looking like somebody else.

I'm wondering if WOTC needs to give their artists better reference materials. This problem crops up way too much.

Yes, but I'm pretty sure that was already acknowledged in one of the novels (Planeswalker? Time Streams?), and as I said, non-Serran angels usually don't have souls or spirits, so I don't think that's what they had in mind with this card. (A really cool detail in Children of the Nameless was when Davriel mentioned angels and demons not having souls and thus confirmed a piece of old lore.)

I'm a big fan of the chandra splash art where she is biting her lip. For purely academic reasons, of course.
