But seriously, how would you do it besides the Gatewatch **** off?

Some ideas:

- The invasion starts in Araba, taking advantage of the ruined land to guild the first underground base. Then a surprise attack and bam!, Eiganjo falls and is Elesh's.

- Phyrexia is in all colours but . Furnace workers were deaded, and Sokenzan won't fall so soon. There is an obvious presence in the Takenuma swamps, some compleated rats or whatever, but for some reason swamp-born infection is slower and harder, allowing for to capable of fighting back.

- This, Phyrexia is mostly while the rebels are mostly

- The spirits initially are effective protecting, but Norn installed defensive wards that drain their power in Einganjo. Mechanic worms replace the dragons.

- The classical knight vs knight. Only they're both samurais, the former is phyrexian and has protection from red and black, while the later is normal and has protection from white and green.

They'd look a lot like Lost Leonin but would cost :2: more and have Bushido 1.

Seriously though, this WOULD be a cool setup, though I feel that Bolas would be a better baddie for Kamigawa. He's got history there.

I feel like that scenario would be a lot like the kami war to be honest. I'd rather have a political conflict among different factions in the mortal realm and a lot of intrigue or something like that.

But if I had to do Kamigawa vs. Phyrexia, maybe I'd do a scenario where Michiko is corrupted (assuming her body is more like Konda's rather than a real spirit) and explore what effect that would have on Kyodai among other things.

I think she's more of a spiritual being now.

She in general has to be accounted for, what with having let some planeswalkers in but others not.

I don't know much about Kamigawa, but I feel like Phyrexia would have a harder time taking over a plane that has a very small amount of artifacts/artifact creatures. ESPECIALLY when most of the planes power comes from spirits, which are like the opposite of artifacts, if you don't think about it.

Yeah, pretty much this. I'd prefer a situation like this to resolve in some sort of standstill. A cold war between the Phyrexians and the mortals-spirits alliance. I'd be pretty annoyed if the next story involving Phyrexia is about the Phyrexians rolling over a plane with hardly any opposition.

Indeed.

It's fun how many planes we know of undermines Phyrexia in some way or another. Kamigawa has the spirit world, Theros has Nyx, Lorwyn/Shadowmoor has the reality shifting. These are the ones where I want the showdown to take place, where Phyrexia can adapt but can very likely loose.
