I realized something the other day. Magic doesn't really have a character with fourth wall breaking abilities. Un-sets don't happen anymore and when they did I they didn't really have any real story because why bother? Also NGA should have a mascot because. Well it's time someone fixed that.

Your job if you choose to accept it, is to creator a character (planeswalker, legend, whatever), that has some capacity to understand that they exist within the confides of a card game/forum. This character should be more along the lines of Deadpool rather than a godlike Mxyzptlk unless you have good justification. Write as much or little as you'd like, there's no minimum requirements or anything. When you're done we'll vote on the best one and then YMTC will make a card out of it.

Ofus of Wyld Fables already abuses the narrative attributes of his home plane for fun and profit, so he would probably be a good candidate, if it being a card-game was actually canonical, and if he was a goblin.

As forums/card games are not actually part of the flavor, however, the character would more likely have to be delusional rather that having the capacity to understand anything.

One day, a goblin on Lorwyn grew bored of the endless hunt for sensation. An oddity among all other goblins, his craving transcended the merely physical. He went on a journey into the fae lands to ask Oona for a favor -- the ability to experience the world as it truly was. And drawing on the power of the Aurora, Oona granted it.

So the goblin learned everything. He learned about the worlds beyond, and the world beyond, and he laughed and laughed at his foolishness. He became a mad wanderer, experiencing our world vicariously through the two-inch-by-three-inch windows that no one else could see. And he managed to influence our world, just a tiny bit, by influencing the Wizards digital team and causing the quality of their forums to decline.

So when miss_bun organized a mass exodus to a new forum, who voted for the name No Goblins Allowed? Only one thing is certain. Somewhere, someplace, we have all made an old goblin very, very happy.

If I had to kind of distill ymtc's 'memes' into a character, they would be obnoxiously focused on elegance and frequently never show up, starting new projects continuously and tearing them down just as often, and despite being a figurehead for creativity, is weirdly judgmental towards spellcraft he deems weak or ineffective.

Wasn't there a librarian character in mtg that had some fourth wall breaking capabilities?
