I'm looking for some character pairs from magic lore; specifically characters that have worked together or you could imagine working together in an alternate timeline. They shouldn't be too similar though; I'm looking for Urza and Mishra, not Chandra and Jaya Ballard. People with different personalities that came together for a cause is great. The focus is on the two of them, and I'll try to work with the least obscure characters I get. Pull from anywhere in magic history.

The goal is to fuel some card ideas for myself. Thanks!

Kamahl and Chainer jump to mind. For that matter, Balthor and Jeska fought together in the pits. There's also Glissa, Slobad and Bosh.

As for fictitious pairings, I always thought it would be cool if Hazezon Tamar teamed up with Dakkon Blackblade. Not for any real reason, mind you, I just like both characters. Of course, I would also like to see Tor Wauki go hunting with Garruk Wildspeaker. Or, perhaps, see Tor HUNTING Garruk...

Urza and Xantcha, Urza and Barrin... you could represent all the cards with just a single set of like Urza and Character Urza Sacrifices In His Mad Quest.

Mangara and Jorael (or Jorael and Kaervek)

Szat and Leshrac

Jodah and Jhoira hooked up at the end of time spiral. She was Teferi's platonic partner before that. She also seemed to have some chemistry with Venser but nothing came of it.

Venser wishes she had chemistry with him, but she shut him down pretty hard.

Jaya and Jodah.
Jace and Kallist.
Jace and Liliana.
Jarad and Fonn.

Edit: That's a lot of names starting with 'J'...

I do, and like to bring it up periodically because I respect your horrifying craft.

It's nice to be appreciated.

I never read it that way, but I do tend to read these things wrong.

It essentially went:
You're pretty...
I'm way too old for you.

Sorry. It's "Waistcoat and Sash", isn't it?
