I think the face in the back is a little too much, it makes the piece a little akward and doesn't go with the color scheme as well. The little dude standing on the horse is kinda funny, but besides those two things, the piece looks great

I really like the neat... uh art thing, you pulled off with visual elements pulling double duty as aspects of two different parts of the painting. Very Escher.
It took me a moment to realize that horns on the car weren't supposed to also blend in with the buffalo.
Is the painting supposed to reference something?

I'm assuming you hate artwork.

I would like to thank Magic:The Gathering, Keeper', Barinellos( Yes, that's a "T Comp'"), Bink Picard, and John Payne's Nose.

It is freehand from photos in an imaginary landscape that resembles the okanogan valley, slight to heavily oil embellished over an acrylic underpainting on canvas, 30/40 inches on at least 8 coats of un-sanded gesso. ( Not my idea... I like drybrushing too much. But oh well, it was a workout!)

cropped, resized and sharpened

Key -notes of the approach being the use of acrylic glazes to either completely eliminate surface texture, like for the sky, and to deepen blacks that were not dark enough- which was eventually abandoned due to switching mediums.

the piece overall tends to exhibit something of a sickly uneven surface texture, which does seem to heighten some of depth's juxtapositions, but forces the painting to writhe grotesquely in the shifting light of an onlooker's perspective/ angle of view.

The next idea is to cover the whole thing with a coat of boiled linseed oil. It is my assumption that this will richen and emmaculate it.

However, it is also my assumption that it will reverse the sense of a patina, which gives it a cool sculptural look when viewed in person.

I just can't stand walking past the thing and seeing it contort!

I just now noticed that it could use a dusting... lol

Uhm... not that I think the art is bad, but why did you post this in the AF&S? I fail to see it as belonging here.

I can see like 3 things wrong with that sentence.

Also, from the index page:
Quote:
Art, Flavor, & Storylines
From art and flavor text to comics to novels, the many worlds of the Magic: the Gathering multiverse are an expansive and exciting place. If you want to discuss the art, setting, stories, or flavor of Magic, this is the place for you.

This piece is, as far as I can tell, not related to Magic at all.

Lunar Mystic edits his posts like he's followed around by a disembodied hand. I've learned to put up with it.

I believe the sentence should read more properly as follows:

"You all need to stop hating us. Become 0 art sh*t! Out here, enjoy it."

I think this reads much more clearly.

And yeah I don't really see the connection to Magic.

Actually he meant that we get virtually no art here so enjoy what we get.
