I'm really sorry guys. I'm just not in the habit yet of checking the WotC site for story updates since it has been so long. I'll try to do better going forward.

It's understandable. Besides the story isn't going anywhere (literally and figuratively)
I'm given to understand the main story is done now, but it doesn't feel like much was actually accomplished. Nissa is simultaneously more and less likable after the affair.
She's got more chutzpah and independence, which I GREATLY prefer over her being some simpering wilting flower, but on the other hand, she's also now bullheaded and righteous with it. The fact that everything pretty much just works out for her when she really didn't know what she was doing was regressive as hell. Cause that's how you got Eldrazi.

Nahiri was consistently the best part of the stories.

Jace was abso-bloody-lutely pointless to be featured.

I do nonetheless think it was a pretty clever twist to make the "evil" whispering artifact into something actually completely neutral and whose power could be used for good. Especially since we already got the Mirari.

Nahiri also fully keeps her agency as a villain, which is good.

I will full on admit, I've been so disinterested in Strixhaven that I completely forgot there was the possibility it would have a story.

So:

- Liliana attended Strixhaven once upon a time

- There are Death Eaters

- Garruk leaves, then no sooner Kasmina appears to his charges. How amusing/creepy

Liliana having been a student feels contrived.
Then again, this entire things feels hollow and focus tested. I appreciate that they're seemingly attempting to give us some flavor call back to Tolaria's vibe from classic magic, because honestly I missed the hell out of it. Ok miss a lot of that kind of magic.
But I'm pretty repulsed that it's Tolaria by way of regurgitated Ravnica.

I wanna say they established Liliana spent the start of being an old walker by going to different planes to learn necromancy.

Honesty we don't really know a lot of what she did as an old walker.

To cleanse the palate of the god awful trailer:

https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/a ... 2021-03-26

I really like Nassari. Whimsical, with motivations that feel very in that they're not really selfish or selfless at the same time.

I just read the zendikar rising storyline after a long break from mtg lore. And I have to say: Jace freaking pisses me off. Just **** listen to Nissa goddamn it. For such a smart person he is really **** dumb. I hope he spends weeks if not months chasing after Nissa through Bala Ged and trying to understand the elementals.
