So that people don't read too much into the Plansewalker Deck color choices:

Quote:
glowingwuskygoesnyarf asked:
What was the reason for choosing to make the Kaladesh planeswalker decks use enemy corners as opposed to allied ones? Seeing Nissa play well with blue, which she philosophically disagrees with as seen in her interaction with Baan; and then there is Chandra, who canonincally HATES white magic with few exceptions.

markrosewater said:
Obviously, the decks showcase the characters color but the choice of second color were more about supporting Kaladesh mechanical themes than character flavor.

Plus it's not like they can't retcon that.

They could play the long game and ease the characters into those colors...I wouldn't put money on it, though.

edit

Pia's tour is over boyos. Time to lay down and compleate.

I was turning over the ideas of why Ajani ended up here, and hit on an idea.
I think most would agree that a return to Theros is painfully obvious in the next year or so, considering they want to do a return/new/return/new structure with their planes and haven't had a chance to get to that pattern yet.
Anyways, Ajani very inexplicably turning up means he probably went to the jacetus league for help, just like Dovin did.

So, it seems unlikely that will have anything to do with 'the gods are jerks' and I hope it has nothing to do with rezzing Elspeth, who I hope stays dead for-bloody-ever... but what could Ajani want help with then?

And being in the middle of putting together a Dack deck, it struck me. Wouldn't it be great if we FINALLY got back to Ashiok planning to put literally everyone on Theros into a coma?

Admittedly, it does basically nothing to answer Amonkhet, but I'm expecting Tezzeret to explain that.

Dack = Orpheus if he was a thief and not a bard lol

Barring that Dack has no idea who Elspeth is.

Doesn't mean they won't cross paths.

- And the way how Ajani seems to be ending up in Kaladesh (via Impeccable Timing), he pops out of Baral's trap... (seriously, like wha-? Is this another stroke of luck for the Jacetus League?).

- Wait a sec, isn't the Ashiok thing in Theros a comic thing? Or has it bled out already on the game as well?

- I would be really surprised if they skip over Elspeth's rezzing if a return to Theros happens, she's rather popular...

They've been on the return/new jag for six years: since Scars of Mirrodin. Nor is there actually supposed to be a pattern: consider that the last year was return/return (Battle, Shadows) right after two years of new/new (Theros, Khans) and before that was two years of new/return (Innistrad, Return). On average, there are supposed to be as many blocks on returning worlds as on new worlds, but there's no intention that the order those come in should be predictable.

Turns out they successfully domesticated hyenas. Also makes this vaguely canon.

The last story article was pretty confusing. Tezzeret, Baan, and the consulate see Chandra attack and destroy their forces, and Tezzeret recognizes Liliana, but instead of arresting them or anything, they just walk away. Did they just hit their daily villainy quota in arresting Pia and decide to call it a day?

And what sort of government is the consulate anyways? If they're really a North Korea style oligarchy that uses violence against its own people to keep all the aether for themselves, then all the complaints about government safety regulations seem kinda petty.

Well either Tezz is scared of having a full on planeswalker war and ruining what he has here, or Bolas has told him not to mess with Liliana because he still has business with her. So now he will run off to amosomethingket and tell Bolas he just saw her with a bunch of dorks.

The rest of the Gatewatch is trying to track them down and runs into Dack, who is also after the Fiends because they stole his gauntlet.
Hehe, are you serious? The entire Gatewatch goes to Kaladesh just to save Chandra? You know, the Gatewatch? The group of planeswalkers (a.k.a. imba dimension-traversing super wizards) that together brought down multiple aeon-old godlike horrors from the void between the worlds that devour entire planes of existence? That Gatewatch?

Seems like serious overkill is all I’m saying ;)
NOOOOOOOOOOOO, Dramatic Reversal reveals that you turned out to be kinda right after all D: !!

*barf*

P- ... p-please, Wizards, fire all of your writers at once. Or at least the head hack who approved this story line. Seriously, what is this!?

I kinda hope that when Jace gets back to his desk he finds that Vraska turned so many Azorious officials into paperweights that Lavinia had to contract Ral to make some sort of Planar-shackle to chain him there for a while and get some real work done.

I wonder if Deadlock Trap prevents planeswalking somehow. Maybe Lavinia just needs to ask Tezzeret for some help. What could possibly go wrong?

Well, tezzeret does know how to build a cage for that.

So, based on Confiscation Coup, it seems Tezz's plan is to get all the inventions of the Fair for himself. That would include Rashmi's planeswalking device. It might be a giant stretch, but maaaaaybe he'll use that to help the Phyrexians achieve their dream of planeswalking? I know Tezz was a double agent, but what if he turned (a combination of not wanting to be a slave of Bolas and Phyrexian brainwashing). I'm no lore expert (just know the bare bones), so I'm turning to the people here. Am I into something or it's just nonsensical?
