I'll add some more clues to my dialogue in subsequent entries. Do you think it's possible to entirely show intentions without voicing them? I'm afraid I succeeded all too well in showing...not so much in telling the audience Radimir's motives. Radimir figured he could trick his comrades into thinking he pulling a sting operation to bring the Flailer to justice.

Wouldn't being hit hard enough while wearing armor leave you stunned?

I think you shouldn't worry about being blunt or obvious. It's way, way easier to start out blunt or obvious and then find ways to tone things down and make them subtler than it is to start out completely opaque and try to add hints in afterwards in the hopes your audience will pick up on them. At least if you're blunt the audience will know what's going on.

Being hit hard may knock the wind out of you for a moment, potentially even in armor, but it's not going to leave you lying on the ground for more than a moment or so if there's not something else stopping you, such as unconsciousness, exhaustion, massive pain or similar. From the description, Radimir's not in any pain, and not tired, either--he's not even winded. He just doesn't even try to get up.
