This is basically canon according to the artbook. Gideon really hopes she doesn't stick around, and really wants the chainveil destroyed, but fate has other plans for her.

Really want the HD to see all the gritty little details.

Also pretty sure the life loss cost is a reference to Spider Spawning which makes me chuckle.

That makes me realize almost her entire story is about her trying to cheat out of a deal. That hints strongly at her leaving the watch when it doesnt suit her needs. Also notice her oath card art has no magicy rune.

I've just realized, in this new Innistrad story has there even been a hint of Garruk's story and him seeking help from Avacyn? Feels like that got completely axed from the story and the big guy put on a bus.

Yes, Garruk's original arc ended suddenly and semi-satisfyingly with his permanent shift to

, and with the end of his state as one of the five focus characters

My prediction on how this ends:

Only Liliana can stop Emrakul with her zombies but none are strong enough to take down such a powerful being. It would be convenient if there was a pair of dead Eldrazi Titans just laying around that could match Emrakul.....Wait.....

I'm glad he came to his senses and altered the art. First (last in the list) is way too demonic-looking, second two are extremely silly.

The version we got is visceral and agonising.

Who is Anje Falkenrath anyway? As far as I can tell, she's just a random named vampire in some flavour text. I'd much rather have a Runo Stromkirk card, especially since he's going to be the last surviving founder of one of the four major bloodlines by the end of the block. I still have a faint hope that Edgar Markov might not be dead after all and come crawling out of the woodwork at some point, but I don't really think so...
