Well, he's my attempt at the Legend of Ol' Smokey.
Ol’ Smokey ComesCome gather ‘round friends, and I’ll tell you a tale,
Of a punishment harsher than gallows or jail,
You may think that you’re safe from the fruits of your sins,
But you’ll learn your mistake when your nightmare begins.
From the deepest of hells come the thundering drums,
In the night when the specter of Ol’ Smokey comes.
In the night when the specter of Ol’ Smokey comes.
When Ol’ Smokey comes, even rain turns to blood,
And it pools in the streets like the deadliest flood.
And no one is safe from these darkest of times,
Even angels and demons will pay for their crimes.
From the deepest of hells come the thundering drums,
In the night when the specter of Ol’ Smokey comes.
In the night when the specter of Ol’ Smokey comes.
Who Ol’ Smokey was, there is no one who knows,
But with every new body, his legend still grows,
You might think you are strong, or you’re clever or brave,
But if Ol’ Smokey comes, it is time for your grave.
From the deepest of hells come the thundering drums,
In the night when the specter of Ol’ Smokey comes.
In the night when the specter of Ol’ Smokey comes.
He appears from shadows where no one can see,
Into places where fools thought it was safe to be,
And nothing can spare you his deadliest stroke,
As he vanishes back in a puff of his smoke.
From the deepest of hells come the thundering drums,
In the night when the specter of Ol’ Smokey comes.
In the night when the specter of Ol’ Smokey comes.
In the night when the specter of Ol’ Smokey comes.
