Been looking for a good Commander to lead my Tamiyo's Story Circle deck (featuring multiple versions of Tamiyo, Narset & Ajani (and maybe Elspeth, though her membership is unconfirmed)), and it turns out Chulane fits the bill really well as a storyteller-type card. Also managed to get some fun storybook-like things to throw in like Into the Story and Hard Cover.

This is very welcome after the lack of an artbook. The first person view is very reminiscent of the Planeswalker's Guide to Alara. Makes it feel more like an actual field guide.

I like how Embereth are basically Sinestro Corps.

So I finally got to start reading again, and skipped the rtrtr novels. Chapter 1 of the eldraine book starts strong and I hope it keeps up the rest of the novel

Definitely a good read! Kate Elliot does a good job with the setting and the characters. It probably helps that her kids play Magic so she has investment in making sure the story is good.

Yup. Just finished it.

Good read. Too short, but that's expected of mtg books in my experience.

Now I want a sequel with garruk and the twins.
