Welcome to Card of the Month!

Card of the Month [COTM] is a monthly contest that culminates the best cards from around the forums into one fantastic show-down!

Rules
1. Card of the month is run on a weekly schedule. Each month will have 4 rounds, with a 5 round to decide the overall winner.
2. Anyone may nominate up to two cards per week. Do so by posting the card in this thread, along with the card creator's name.
3. You may not nominate your own cards.
4. A new poll will run at the end of each week. You may vote for any number of selections.
5. The top two selections from each week move on to the final monthly vote. If more than two are tied for those slots, all those tied will move on.
6. Once all 4 weeks are completed, those who qualified for end of month vote get put into a poll. The winner of that is our CARD OF THE MONTH!

So, nominate away!

You can still win a COTW. Remind me to start this back up on WOTC with a disclaimer "I'll keep running this if you promise to participate."

Whenever a nontoken creature comes into play under your control, add to your mana pool.
Lioneye's Watch isn't much, but it's ours.

Counter target nonblue spell. If that spell is white, its controller gains 3 life. If that spell is black, you lose 3 life.
All sphinxes can be reasoned with, but just throwing yourself into its jaws is sometimes preferable.

This is a really cool design, but it's kinda overpowered, because the decks that play it will often just win the turn they cast it. How about making the draw a delayed trigger that happens on your next upkeep?

Yeah, I'd actually be cool with it being like two cards at two mana, but I'm nominating it for the design.

Austerity of Sphinxes worries me. At double blue it would be fine, but a hard (slightly conditional) counter with a color weight of just one is dangerous stuff.

You may choose a creature card you own with converted mana cost 3 or less from outside the game, reveal it, and put a token copy of that creature card onto the battlefield. Exile Fable.

Well, high or not? It depends on what you compare it to...

Spot on flavour. Look at that flavour text, I'm salivating.

I thought for some reason you couldn't. Well I guess I'll have to be on the lookout for UN card threads.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Don't worry. I won't nominate anything or poor quality just because it's Un.
But if you meant that nominating Un cards is always a bad idea then I must disagree with you sir/madam.
