Trying to gauge power level, this becomes an Ancestral Recall with Firmament Sage out and daytime. |

Foxprints Instant (U) Investigate. The next ability you activate this turn that isn't a mana ability costs less to activate. "I have never seen such beauty before in my life. I hope to experience it again someday." —Vivien, of Zirda Activated ability mana reduction doesn't have the firmest color definitions. As far as I can find, there are only 10 such cards with color(s) in their mana costs, and of those, 4 are multicolored. 3 are red, 4 are green, 2 are white (none mono-colored), and 5 are blue. I bring this up mostly to wonder if it's a mechanic that doesn't necessarily have color definitions beyond specific interactions. For example, Bladegraft Aspirant works for equipment, Blossoming Tortoise works for land, Forensic Gadgeteer works for artifacts, etc. Ultimately, I decided to make it as a cute Zirda reference, since I love that companion, but ultimately, I think it makes more sense as a card. Or probably as a artifact with an ETB. |
