As long as you have seven or more cards in hand, Demonic Librarian is indestructible.
Whenever Demonic Librarian deals combat damage to a player, return cards from your graveyard to your hand at random until you have seven cards in hand. Then, draw cards until you have seven cards in hand. You lose life equal to the number of cards drawn this way.
Silence is the key to survival in this library.

I think I found a few compromises that read less obvious:

Less narrow option:

From the Briar -
Instant | C
Herald (You may cast this spell for its herald cost. If you do, create a 2/2 green Elemental creature token.)
Choose one —
  • Target creature gets +2/+2 until end of turn.
  • Elementals you control get +1/+1 until end of turn.

More narrow, but potentially more powerful option:

From the Briar -
Instant | C
Herald (You may cast this spell for its herald cost. If you do, create a 2/2 green Elemental creature token.)
Elementals you control get +2/+2 until end of turn.
