miss_bun -- I love the concept, but I somehow think in development this would get scaled back to giving a +2/+2 bonus. For power level, it's pretty strong, but I love the flavor and effect. Perhaps some flavor text would tie it all in a little tighter.
Didibus -- I never really think of red and white getting that many +1/+1 counters, but this would certainly be one way of making them incredibly useful. Double strike and doubling up on counters seems pretty bonkers, even for the mana cost of
.
Confused -- I don't think the name quite works for a split card, but it is a nice try. I am particularly fond of the solution to having different timings on a split card, and I'm glad you took that into account. As for the abilities, they are very at odds with each other and don't feel like a fuse split card, but more of a normal one with synergy. Not to mention the Back side of the card isn't particuarly helpful unless you're dealing additional damage tot he creature since it'll rarely be able to pop any creature unless it's one that starts as a 0/0 and comes in with counters.
iamajellydonut -- That's quite a hoser. While the ability is creative and certainly balances against the size and mana cost oft he card, I'm not much a fan of persistent board sweeping. I know there is a lot of it out there, but I'm always weary. As a creature it can be removed, but I'd like to see some kind of self-removal failsafe built into it for fun.
Ko -- I totally see where you were going with this idea, but I think the wording needs to be cleaned up. I'm not 100% sure on that, so I'm not really holding that part against you, but I think there is another way to phrase this for the rules. Love the flavor, but like bun's submission, it's missing the flavor text to really hold it together.
YingLung -- I love the flavor, it made me laugh. The ability is really spot on as well, and very well flavored for the world of Ravnica. I'm not 100% on board with forcing your opponent's +1/+1 counters to mobilize along with yours, but then again it's probably a pretty small set of situations where you'd get less value for it then they would, so I guess it's okay. As far as I can tell, balance is well done.
shab -- Umm, congrats on making a slightly different
Fungal Behemoth? I'm gonna guess this was fairly unintentional, but I can't really give you many points when the card you have there is more or less already printed.
dtolle -- In the right deck, this is absolutely evil. As a standalone card, not quite as impressive, but I guess it's one of those cards that really requires you to look at the limited format you're in. And what is it with enchantment submissions not getting flavor text this time around? All three of them so far are lacking that last little something in the flavor text to tie it up nicely and really grab my attention!
Imidazoline -- Incredibly creative use of counters here. I love the synergy and ways you have to use it to get the loyalty counters, but it's too slow. You lose a turn to go down by one, and on the next turn to go up by two, so every other turn you get +1. I know the 0 ability has the potential to do a lot more, but in a vacuum, it's pretty slow.
Tevish Szat -- CMC 1, instant speed and can hit your opponent's creatures as well? Almost seems waaaay too good to see print as is. I love the idea, and I'd be on board if you had to sacrifice your own creatures, especially in keeping with the flavor of the card, but being able to hit an opponent's creatures as well just seems too convenient to ignore.
Yarium -- I'm at odds with this card for a few reasons. (1) With a 2/1 body, it feels like it wants to attack, but instead it is defensive in nature. (2) You are banking on your opponents to have creatures with counters. I guess you could pull off a deck that puts them on for you, but I'm not 100% on board with this. (3) It's not specifically +1/+1 counters, which was the name / theme / rules of the contest. I dunno, decent idea, but I'm not really feeling it.
MagicPablo666 -- I'm always up for extra creativity with card types / mana costs and all of that, but there are too many variables for me to like this one. To reduce the cost you have to ensure you have counters on you, and for it to have use you need to ensure your opponent's creatures all have counters on them. The card looks and reads really well, but the final effect will almost never get pulled off.
PeregrineV -- For wording reference, X is undefined, so it's zero. You're told to remove a null variable of counters at the beginning, so as worded this card does nothing. But I do see its intent, and I'll grade you based on that. I like that it is modular, I really like the theme and am pretty impressed the card name isn't taken already. What concerns me the most is that it enwines with no real synergy between the abilities, and that's what I look for in spells that fuse, entwine or any number of other abilities that give multiple abilities to a card.
