Hi guys! let me introduce you an app that we've developed for trading.

MTG Wishlist is a free app that allows you to save Magic The Gathering cards you want in a Wishlist in a quick way directly on your device showing the pictures, live prices from famous webstores, card text, available expansion set and more useful data.

MTG Wishlist is available on Google Play, Samsung and Amazon

Here you have a screenshot:

We're trying to make the best, so any comment or suggestion will help to improve it (also rates on Google Play will be helpful). What do you think about it?

Nope at the moment, unfortunately we don't have resources to achieve it. Sorry for that :-(

I usually use MTG Familiar for my Android, what would you say would be the strengths of your app over MTG Familiar?

can someone explain the purpose of these apps? like, I ask this understanding that people consume and manage media differently, and I assume there's a value because there appears to be a demand, but as someone who uses this and presumably gets something out of it, can you explain what?

The only thing I've really found these types of apps to be helpful with is trading with strangers. If people can agree to use one of these apps, it means that you'll be using a set of prices that are consistent and allow for fair trades (more or less). I've made use of one at DragonCon where there was a very large game room and Magic players trading constantly. Almost everyone I met was using MTG Familiar. Outside of trading, I find few to no uses for these apps, but they're still good to have on hand.

I would say that MTG Familiar has a general scope while this one is focused on card storing and pricing. You can have prices from multiple different stores, look for the cards directly on other stores (more than 20 worldwide stores), receive notifications when the prices reach a threshold, different currencies, conversions, syncing with Magic Card Market...
..try it, maybe you like it :-)

The one I use (Decked) is really just so that I can build and store decks on the fly when the ideas hit me and also have a somewhat convenient price guide and card look-up as well. I'm pretty sure mine has about fifteen decks stored in it right now and I'm in the process of physically putting together a few of them. It's also a quick and easy reference when someone at my LGS asks "Wasn't there a card that did this thing? What was it called?"

I don't have data. i use wifi and it's not always available. If you can make some or even all information cached (yet space efficient), i'm sold.

I know it's a little bit late in time, but we managed to have all the DB offline, so you can have access to the cards with no data. Prices are retrieved with online connection and stored for offline use.
