I've been here for all of ten minutes so far and I like it more than the new wizards forums.
I almost always come to the forums on a desktop. The other day I visited the wizards forum on my phone and, having been in IT for a number of years now, I could see the salesperson convincing an AVP at Wizards that their forums software was exactly what Wizards needed to be current and relevant by embracing their real fans, because, you know, their demographics show that there is a certain age range and a certain type of device that visits Wizards forums and phones are the way that everyone will be using them in the future.
And in true corporation style, instead of using what works, or what is free (and just as good, if not better) I would be willing to bet they bought their software from an outsourced company that re-branded something they've had for years (or just bought themselves) and sold it to Wizards for millions more than they needed to spend. The IT guys Wizards already employees likely fruitlessly tried to prove that it was a waste of time and would actually be a bad thing, but by the time people with brains get involved, a CEO has already signed the deal and the check has already been cashed.
