Post subject:  Building a Commander Deck (need opinions)

I'm using the Faceless Menace Commander deck that I.just. bought the other day and it has three colors - green, black, and blue. there are a lot of good uncommon and rare cards and was thinking of attempting some upgrades, but I'm afraid I'll mess with the synergy of the deck and maybe it won't work the way it was built to. That said, I have a lot of good black cards and it just so happens that black is the least of the 3 colors in the deck.

If I were to do an upgrade, should I only replace enchantments with other enchantments and instants for instants? I'd like to hear from people who have experience in this game because I'm just coming back to MTG after about 20 years, and a lot has changed. With the exception of the new Brawl decks, it seems like the game is getting away from the 60 card decks with 4 of each in favor of Brawl and Commander style.

Something else I was considering is removing blue from the deck and making it a black and green deck because having three colors in a deck scares me a little bit. IF I don't get a good hand and the cards don't fall right, I could be screwed. By any chance has anyone used the Faceless Menace deck at all? If not, does anyone have any experience with deck building and can give me some pointers and maybe some rule of thumb type stuff.

Thank you.

Interesting article. I'm liking this deck more and more as I go through it and read about it due to the ability to interrupt opponents' rhythm. I still wonder if I could make it work with 2 colors rather than 3, but someone who knows magic much better than I do built this deck, so maybe I ought to have a little faith in that.

My strongest color in my collection is black by far, but I got a nice little collection of cards that would work nicely in this deck if I can figure out which ones to remove.
