Hey all old school player here but haven't touched it since the late 90's. Anyway, have a nephew that is big into MtG and looking to get him something. He does do a lot of tourneys and (arena, if that is what it is still called) SO was googleing some stuff and looks like mostly the "best cards" are all banned in tournament play. Looking to spend 40-50 or so. Is there some individual cards I should be looking for or just get X decks or X booster packs? Thank guys. |

It might be better to look into getting him some deck accessories rather than focusing on a card. I know that there's a few sites that do custom wooden deck boxes. |

Unless you know what kind of deck he plays I would recommend getting him a bundle pack, preferably Dominaria or Guilds of Ravnica bundle pack. As Barinellos suggests, MTG accessories are also great gifts for your nephew. |
