In my opinion, it's more fitting in because that a lot of the analogies that is used for the Planeswalker phenomena are . Even more interesting, or are the colors that apparently had the best chance of tracking and dealing with Planeswalkers, as Ral Zarek was able to track them in the Lightning Bug story.

I've always seen planewalkers (the card type) as pretty . They're an ego, an immensely powerful and important individual with their own separate agenda that only sticks around when its working out for them (loyalty drops to 0, they're gone.) If you want to keep them as allies, you have to cater to them by having them use the abilities they want to use, and expending your own creatures to block for them. Even calling it a loyalty mechanic is a bit of a misnomer. It's a loyalty that's bought and has a definitive end.
