IT'S TIME TO T-T-T-T, T-T-T-T-TRIP REPORT

I went 1-2 lol

First match I 2-0ed some kid with a Prowess deck, he never really got going with anything and remarked that he probably wasn't running enough lands. Which is fair enough.

Second match I got 1-2ed by a teenager running Jeskai Delver. I only won the second game because he never procced his two Delvers and killed himself with his own mana base. Get rekt. Never drew my Thornweald Archers because RNG

Third match I got 1-2ed by a kid running W/B Exalted. Second game I absolutely merked him with Arc Lightning, but I really screwed up the third game because I didn't shuffle properly and mulliganed into basically the same hand I'd rejected in the first place. Should've mulliganed again but lessons learnt I guess.

Overall I had fun. I bought myself a Theros booster as a little treat and pulled another Temple of Abandon so that's cool. I need to sort out my mana base I think (by the way, Treetop Village is the bomb diggity and I would run two if I didn't have so many other ETBT lands in the first place). As far as promos were concerned you got dibs based on rank, I should've taken Deathbringer Regent but took Dictate of the Twin Gods instead because I love making mistakes I guess?? I don't think I'll put it in the deck but it'd be funny if I did and it actually worked.

Overall it was fun and I'd do it again. I didn't actually feel like I was at too much of a disadvantage because I was in the more casual tournament - there was a way more hardcore one going on next door. I probably should get some Lightning Bolts regardless.

reading the report makes me want to go to an FMN myself (which I have never been to due to geographic location), but I still can't muster up the courage to walk into a Japanese tcg game store with my Italian magic cards ToT

The Japanese should be fine with Italian stuff. After all, this is the country that created Super Mario Bros

I was actually pretty lucky to get Rattleclaw Mystic, I'm surprised nobody before me wanted it but I didn't see what else was on offer. I would love to put Foe-Razer Regent in the deck because the ass is fat, but I know it's too expensive to be worthwhile. Ugh why can't I just Timmy and be done with it. Tammy. Tabitha.
