Those cards were intended for Cube Draft, not for a Constructed format. Playing with them in Constructed seems like it misses the point of the Custom Cube project. Also, it's a huge pain to do all the Oracle wording by hand and the less work for me the better.

This plugin contains NGA Masters (4 August), BCPs 1, 2 and 4, The Exterminators block, Velicta, Eldangard block, Solphos block and Taramir. You can use it to play NGA Constructed, or any subset of the cards in the format, such as Eldangard Block Constructed or NGA Commander. Tell me if you find any typos or errors and I'll fix them.

To use this XML file with Cockatrice, download it and change your card database to point to it in the options menu. If you want to switch back to WOTC cards, you can change the database back the same way.

Note that you should uncheck "Download card pictures on the fly" because there are no card pictures, and you'll end up downloading a lot of placeholder images that will suck up space on your hard drive. If you end up forgetting anyway, like me, you have to manually delete them from the directory that Cockatrice stores your card images in.

I take it Salvage was reworded as an Ability Word to get the rules text for it on every card? Seems alright, but some cards assume the text-box space of the keyword versions.

Yeah, I couldn't think of more elegant way to have both salvage and the reminder text on the card. Don't worry too much about text box space: Transmute has the mother of all reminder texts, so Solphos gets it worse than Taramir.

Updated cards.xml with various error fixes, like the wrong creature types or capitalization mistakes. Also changed Grey Knight to Gray Knight to follow consistent spelling conventions.

I think we should start by hosting a suspect tournament for NGA Constructed to figure out the banlist. I'm thinking a normal Swiss tournament, but you get extra match points at the end of the tournament for each copy of a card in your deck that ends up in the final banlist. How does that sound? Who would be game for this tournament? Should I ask in the Constructed forums as well?

I'm holding off on the tournament until NGA Gatherer is up, which I have every confidence in. In the meantime, there's plenty of time to digest the huge card pool and brew.

I downloaded the file and only have access to the white cards and basic lands...
